I am not understanding the sale of Sean Davis to Tottenham? Any explanations? I wish Fulham would have kept him.
I'll give you two reasons but first let me say that I will miss him in black and white but he needed to go: 1. Coleman has made it quite clear that he does not want anyone on his team that does not want to be there. No matter who it is. Team spirit was at a high last year and is what put us into a top 10. 2. Davis is a good player but I personally believe he is near his peak. He played like sh!t last season for the most part. He will not survive at Spurs once he sits the bench and I Santini does not stand for mediocrity. 3. Fulham have someone else in mind to play that position...although I'm not sure who but Cookie has a plan. As a side note, are you a Man U fan that supports Fulham "second"? Just wondering why you have an interest? No offense!
Yes, I am Manchester United fan first and I am really sorry about the whole Saha thing last year. Just two years ago when Fulham was battling relegation and Tiana got sacked, I started following them a little bit. I was hoping they did not get relegated. Last year, I watched them quite a few times and they were exciting. I was really impressed with Moritz Volz. He is my favorite player on the team. But, also being a Chicago guy, Fulham has Bocanegra, a former Chicago Fire player, and Brian McBride, a Chicago Suburban native. Also, I hate Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham and I thought I should support a London team. I liked Fulham better than Charlton so here I am. Maybe it is weird to support more than one club. I will cheer for Fulham in all games except Machester United. I look for them to have another good year. Hopefully Coleman can get the boys going like he did last year. Hopefully Collins John continues his sparkling play that he finished the year with. How did you become a Fulham fan?
Its not strange to be a Man U/Fulham Fan. I actually believe it is the most common combination of fans who support two teams. I watch the Fulham games on TV in NYC when I can and I run into the same guys who do the same as you, support Man U first and Fulham second. I went to London to see a game and it happen to be a fulham one (at loftus road about 2 1/2 years ago) and I met some of the most friendly and supportive fans you could ever meet. From then on I pledge my allegiance to Fulham and never turned back. I went to two games in 2003 and I'll be heading back to finally see the cottage.
Right on. It sounds like you are a good supporter of the club. They are on TV at a few of the bars, but I mostly watch them on tape delay on FSW or sometime during the week on FSW. This year I am going to order the EPL PPV package through Dish Network so I am hoping to watch a few more games this year. Where do you watch the games in NYC? So, when you went to London 2.5 years ago you were not a Fulham fan? That trip turned things around for you? If so, that is cool. Do you support the MLS or any other teams? I am going to the Poland-USA match this Sunday here in Chicago then to the Manchester United - Bayern Munich game on the 25th. You going to any of those ChampionsWolrd games out at the Meadowlands?
I've read that his contract was up in 2005 and he wasn't planning on resigning. So between your reasons and that Fulham was smart to sell.
Fulham Fc were offering him 35,000 POUNDS a WEEK but it wasn't enough for him he insisted on going.Fulham had to except the Spurs offer now or have to let Sean Davis at the end of his contract in 2005 for naught. http://excoboard.com/exco/index.php?boardid=3094
