and the evil liberal media spin obviously trying to ruin a righteous man like Delay. Or is this one of those times you can admit that the GOP screwed up?

Sorry hang, but I honestly have not been paying any attention. I know there's some stuff about Democratic legislators running to Oklahoma in the middle of the night to prevent the legislature from having a quorum to vote on redistricting, but beyond that I can't help you. Texas politics is not for the squemish.

And I fail to see how something Tom Delay did or didn't do once again proves what you guys are ALWAYS trying to prove: that Republicans are evil. Well, I'm a Republican, and I never met Tom Delay, and if you want to talk about crooked politicians, step right up. I have a list of Democrats a MILE long bud.

You guys need to grow up a little and figure out that this is not about who is a bad person. You learned that crap from Bill Clinton, who has destroyed the Democratic Party in his narcissistic quest for a spotlight. Get with it, pal. Smear, smear, smear is not political debate. It's just garbage, and the voters are rejecting it.

Anyway, I've been too busy following the hilarious tale of the Jessica Lynch rescue where the BBC claimed it was all a Hollywood play put on for the cameras using blanks. Every line of his article is so easily disproved, or prima facie demonstrates a lack of factual background that it's just kept me hopping.

Plus the stuff on President Bush's honorable discharge from the ANG after completing his six years of service and how, because somebody in Alabama cannot locate a document that therefore this "proves" that he was AWOL and a draft-dodging war criminal pantywaist. Who was a highly qualified fighter pilot.

    Sorry. Texas isn't my thing.

Honestly I haven't been able to follow much of it either. too busy at work recently. God I hate work.
I was just curious if you had any insight I haven't heard on it yet. But it really was more than a "Texas" thing since if the rediscting succeeded it coulda given the GOP up to 7 more seats.

And for the record, there is a big difference between someone saying for instance...

"Tom Delay probably fucked up here"

    and

"Tom Delay is a horrible person"

but for some reason whenever I suggest that someone on the right may have ************ed up you think I am making a personal attack. That really isn't the case. I save personal attacks for spineless douchebags like Tom Daschle, or Evan Bayh.

And in my spare time, I'm trying to figure out what George Voinovich could possibly be trying to accomplish by insisting on a $350 billion tax cut over TEN YEARS as opposed to a $550 billion tax cut over ten years in an economy that has a GDP of $100 trillion. Like it will make the slightest difference.

Too bad...you should be paying more attention to the texas thing. Looks a bit shady at first glance the way Delay acted. But perhaps if everybody ignores it then we can all go on thinking what altruistic saints the GOP really are.

If you have some sort of a point, why don't you just have the stones to come out and make it instead of weaseling around?

Basically my point is that if it was the dems that were accused of all the gerrymandering nonsense and attempted to get the fed involved you would be all over it like a fly on ************ saying what corrupt jerkoffs all democrats are, regardless of whether it was a Texas issue or not...

But since it was the GOP that has a bit of scandal attached to them on this case you ignore it cause you don't ever wanna admit that they too have the capability of being dishonest lying cheating weasels because that would put in kink in the cyberuberrepublican persona you have worked so hard to create...

Personally, I don't know how bad things got down there, nobody really does since papers, transcripts etc were destroyed...but you have gotten on the dems for much less than this before...

It's a bit of a double standard, thats all.

    When did I do this?

I have expressed, many times, my disgust for politicians of all stripe. This little episode in Texas was par for the course for most of them. I fail to find anything exraordinary in any of it.
