Fourth-largest country in the world, right? Makes it a challenge for anyone. And, to be fair, the NASL has more teams than MLS did for most of its first 10 years. Also to be fair, they are not as spread out as MLS' have traditionally been.

I think an inability to acquire meaningful sponsorships on a league-wide basis is one of the reasons for the threat of litigation.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean, but I will say that "flexibility" in expansion was one of the major problems with USL that (eventually) led us to where we are today. And, given the (much-needed, thank you) USSF professional standards, there's not a lot of wiggle room.

If you mean they should just let people in and overlook their worthiness to get teams in places to make travel easier, no, that's just not a solution.

Except people actually WANT to go to Bermuda.

And people want to go to Edmonton, too - if they're from Fort McMurray or Grande Prarie. :)

Expansion to Ft. McMurray! They did host several CFL games this past season.
Then the NASL can add Dawson City, Yellowknife and Tuktoyaktuk. :sneaky:
