so, ive got comcast high speed. typically, its been wicked fast.

however, the past 24-48 hours or so, my network has been pants.

i have a wireless router. one computer direct off of that, and i roam with my laptop. at first, i had problems with the fact that XP would drop the connection, so i started using PCTEL client, and its been great (esp since, even after the trial period expires, you can still use it to connect. you cant use any functions of the program, but it holds the connection, all you need do is move the sign up box to the edge, and off, the screen, and it stays up!).

anyways, now, everything is slow. i have to turn my wireless modem on/off every time i click a link because if i dont, the process times out. so basically, i have a 10 second connection that i need to reset CONSTANTLY.

    it is ANNOYING. AS. HELL.

    how do i remedy this?

Some routers have one of those holes that you stick a paper clip thru which resets the router.

It's not a "paper clip", it's a "manual router password recovery device".

The same device can funciton as a "manual CD-Rom drive ejection tool."
