    Hello,

I'm a FCD fan from Arkansas. I'll be moving there over the summer and can't wait to be in the supporters club. I follow the team over the net and on tv when they're on. My questions are about why Gbandi is likely leaving. Is it that he wants more money, or is it that the team is ready for him to go? Wasn't he a first pick? Second, do ya'll think Ricardino will start with Coop up top, or will it be Thompson or someone else who's not there right now. Lastly, the foreign transfer window closes soon. Are there any Internationals on the way ? I guess i had more questions than I thought I had. My bad.

And the other off-the-wall connection for several FC Dallas bloggers is with South Carolina.

Go Gamecocks! Go Garnet and Black!

Thanks for not answering the poor guy's questions...

Gbandi has wanted to leave for at least a season or two... just time to move on I guess. He was a good player, but nothing spectacular. And, yes, he was a first overall pick which is generally considered a mistake becuase Twellman went second and well... you know.

Rico will get a chance to start up top, but it's not likely. I think Oduro is the favorite right now with Thompson second choice. Everyone round these parts are hoping that the team brings in a new international strike, but that too is looking unlikely.

The only new signing on the horizon is a player from CAP, our partner club in Brazil. It's rumored to be Andre Rocha who is a midfielder.

Check 3rddegree.net for more info on going ons in the club. Welcome to the board.

I have recruited a few people to come to the dark side, but nobody from Central Arkansas, so I can't take credit for this one.

I still think Artie should get a chance up top. Maybe a role like Landy plays were he is able to make something happen in the middle. I can't remember Artie ever crossing a ball into the box.

Thanx for the info and the welcome guys.

I'd forgotten about the birdman Oduro lol. He impressed me last year when I saw him in person for the first time, more than on tv. He's madd fast! I just hope he finds his finishing touch.

So what's the outlook on ricardino? I just liked him because he was skillful and I have a preference for skillful player.

I really can't see Thompson working long term. he just doesn't seem like anything special, but he does score when he comes in off the bench so I guess we'll see what happens. I think the team might want to try Arturo up there, or bring someone else in. Is there any cap space left?

Why do you hate Ricardinho?

I think all of our young forwards (Thompson, Orduro, Ricardinho, and of course Cooper) show promise. Some just need to work more on certain skills.
