With Edu moving to England EPL Stoke this week why is Captain Carlos Bocanegra still with 3rd division Glasgow Rangers? Unlike his predecessor, Jurgy has made a point of saying that players on the national teams should be starters on top flight teams. We all understand Ranger's situation, but 3rd division football, in Scotland none the less, is simply inferior. You can tell me some of the median teams in England or other top flights in Germany or Italy wont take a chance with a top quality defender who has International experience. For the good of USA national soccer and his career time to move on my friend

It doesn't make any sense to start for a 4th division team in Scotland, even if Bocanegra retires from the national team. Even with him being the best player on the team, Rangers can't even win a game in league 3 even though NASL has better quality teams. From a player's standpoint, it is something you don't want.

There's already two threads discussing this. Do we really need a third simply because the OP won't take the time to read the other two?

Because he is like Ricard Gere in " An Officer and a Gentleman - " he has no place else to go."
