"Why I like Palermo" We bought Cavani from them, and sold them Aronica. In all seriousness, hope you guys survive the relegation dog fight!
Not sure what's going on with Palermo? Is it because Zampa hasn't bought anyone? Looks like they are heading to Serie B once again. I hope they pick it up but its not looking that way. Now is the time (during the transfer window) if they want to sign someone though....
Palermo gotta get all the points they can at home, given they are terrible on the road, otherwise they go down, but I want Palermo to survive, but it doesn't look like its going to happen, but things change
The Palermo community is mainly based at UltraPalermo.com It's a good group of people who are active and informative.
He may, he may not. The thing is, Palermo have bigger issues to consider right now. Time to prepare the team for Serie B and try to bounce back after a year. A serious project needs to be installed and the club needs to cut ties with the ridiculous amount of players who are loaned or co-owned and have no chance of ever coming back to play. Also, start counting on some of the players in the Primavera, which is among the best in Italy.
want to see you guys stay in Serie A, hoping for some miracle, one of the few teams that Napoli gets along with
So Luca Toni with his 30 goals, put Palermo in Serie A in 2004-2005 and with his goal today for Fiorentina, is the one who relegates them 9 years later! How ironic is that?
I predict them pulling a Chievo, Parma, Atalanta and Samp of recent years. They will be back. Let's hope Zampa doesn't go crazy and run it into the ground.
There are a couple clubs in Serie A who could use a nice takeover and shouldnt have to sell off players to balance the books; One of them is Palermo
I heard it on the domenica sportiva Sunday. The only reason I think it would be cool is because, hopefully that way, the owners will bring a lot of money to the club and build a winner for Southern Italy who other than Napoli, has never won anything..
Thoughts on Palermo in Serie B: http://ultrapalermo.com/2013/05/arrivederci/ Also, regarding the Sheik, this is news that has been around for almost two years. There was initial interest but it has since cooled. Zamparini wants some investors from his Arab business partners but it still remains to be seen whether or not the Arab businessmen would be willing to invest or if they are even interested. Any scenario would still see Zamparini as the main owner pulling the strings.
I wonder with FFP looming if these Sheik's are going to be able to continually drop money into a club like they have been so far.
