I followed Palermo's rise to Serie A with casual interest. I decided to become a fan earlier this year b/c I traced my family lineage back to Sicily.

Their buffoon of an owner would make it really painful to be a supporter, I would think. I'm not masochistic enough to be a Palermo man.

Mom/Dad and the rest of the family was born in Alta Villa Milicia which is about 30 min from Palermo. That is where the bloodline is...

My bloodline also traces back to Western Sicily. My Nonno used to talk about going to watch Palermo when they were in Serie A back before he came to America. I was practically brought home from the hospital in a pink shirt.

They should be top 6 every year. They'll fire Zenga twice by Christmas, though, and it just isn't happening.

Its Moggi's fault. I can not believe he was wasting away in Portugal for two years. A talented Italian player like this needs to be in Italy!

absolutely not. he doesnt play for juve or milan or roma.
why would he get picked over that amazing gilardino who can never seem to score internationally but is picked for every single game.
iaquinta... all that bigness for no reason.
di natale, probably the only foward i would agree with.
toni- now back on track somewhat but hasnt scored internationally in a while
boriello is good on and off but i dont see him doing well at the world cup if he goes which he probably will.

lippis gonna bring basically the same people and this summer i see no progrees out of the 2nd round. if we even get that lucky the way the national teams played id cut everyone pretty much.

i would love to see amauri miccoli and di natale start as 3 fowards but it will never happen unless we change coaches. those are the 3 strongest fowards we'd have IMO, but too bad it means nothing. id also like to see palladino on the national team but again, he doesnt play for juve milan or juve, since about 9 or 10 of the 11 are from one of the teams. another couple could be cassano, floccari giovinco balotelli diamanti...so many possibilities, but of course i expect nothing from this squad going to south africa.
juve: buffon chiellini cannavaro grosso del piero(prob not going) camoranesi iaquinta (thats 7)
milan: pirlo boriello (probably) abbiati (id assume to go to SA) inzaghi
    roma:toni totti de rossi
thats pretty much 14 of the possible 18-21 people to go thats insane. why dont we just get maldini and freakin baggio to come back too.

Really enjoyed watching Palermo play this season.

The attack of Miccoli-Pastore-Cavani (even Hernandez at times) have been a joy to watch.

Pastore is such a beautiful player, won't be surprised when some of the big boys from around Europe come knocking. Really impressed me at times, and he's only 20.
