Or the reason I'm home now instead of at the Tottenham game.

That's not a good excuse! The future of the league always comes before your personal future at all times! The league needed you tonight!!!
You should find a way to punish yourself for this!

I hate all projects as well ... mainly b/c I could care less about grading them all.

Don't worry about it - just give the kids you like good grades and the kids you don't like bad grades.

I'm not sure if others get this but I find it hilarious.

Ok, I confess, it's my daughter's science project and I'm helping with typing because she really got over head in this one.

Actually, it's simple and straightforward, but she had two variables instead of one and the teacher wanted her to perform each experiment 3 times. So 3X3X3 = 27 experiments. Each one took about an hour each and she waited too long to start. So, there you have why I'm home at the computer and my husband is at the game.

See if you can find a formula for United to score more goals.

Clearly you've got to encourage your daughter away from sciences like chemistry and physics, and toward sciences like sociology and epidemiology. That way, she doesn't have to perform the experiments, she just has to collect and analyze the data.

Or, as a wise man I once worked with once said, "I'm no longer a psychologist... I'm an inferrential statistician."

are you sure? that sounds sort of quadratic...
    maybe you could try

    (Etch + bench)x(convey + ball) = 3 points.

I think you need to factor in direction. Most of the shots I've seen lately have boot, velocity, and ball, but fail to take direction into account. :D

We have too many unknown variables in our team formula. Math is a silly thing, at least chemicals are useful. She should be a journalism major that way she wouldn't have to add too much especially when it comes to earning money. ;)

But which would you rather have, a lot of money and the MetroStars, or not as much and DC United

    (mucho money+MetroStars) < (less money+DC United)

Math plumb evaded me in Radiologic Technology school, as well as the "logic"(it AIN'T) courses I took in my Commercial Arts studies.
Excuse my humble efforts. I concede to your mathematical truth.
