This is the same paper that, a) Didn't send anyone to the World Cup, relying on writers from other Tribune papers, and b) Has a non-staff stringer covering only home games for the Fire. If someone can explain this to me, I'd love to hear it.
Yea, I was floored by the Wednesday morning paper. First, I see a color picture of DaMarcus on the front of the sports page. When I flip to read the rest of that story, there was a big picture of Beckham with story and a big picture of Andy Williams and another story. It was the kind of coverage I have dreamed about. Certainly deserving of a thank you email.
And the tool wrote that Beasely played his usual RIGHT midfield spot! If anyone at the trib had noticed the Fire this year, they would've corrected that.
