I was just watching the monaco/psg match on fsw and was curious why fsw puts an overlay over the canal + graphics?I find there bar sort of annoying especally when watching it on a smaller tv...They dont do it for the epl so i was curious why they do it for the french and dutch matches?

They only put the time graphic in, no other graphics. Don't know why they do it but there must be a reason.

Do the dutch and french matches have a continous time/score graphic on the feed given to FSW? I don't think so. So FSW puts theirs in. The EPL stuff already has a time/score graphic, so they don't need to.

The German telecasts do not have a time/score graphic. The graphic for French/Dutch games is very small, so FSW puts their own in.

FSW puts in graphics with player names for Bundesliga because again, ISPR doesn't offer any on its feed.

Interestingly, it was David Hill (NewsCorp's main sports division boss) who pioneered the time/score graphic during the early days of the EPL and BSkyB. He then brought it to NewsCorp's NFL broadcasts and now they are commonplace.
