"US & Canadian Arsenal supporters" at the top. Kindly leave us Canucks out of this monstrosity. It's mere existence as a website is blasphemy against the Gunners.

I know if I were an Arsenal supporter from North London, I would find it embarrassing to know such a site existed.

It's just not right, and it reeks of fake Manure supporters.

    Thx

So your first post as an Arsenal supporter is an attack on the website? Every post you have made previously was in the World Rivalries forum, where you defend Canada.

May I suggest that, if you don't like our website or our supporters club, you kindly return to the World Rivalries forum and bash the US for being so "un-Canadian".

And I believe that should you ask the posters in this forum who are from London, you would find that both they and the club itself like us just fine, thanks.

I like the US, I just don't think that Arsenal supporters will be too happy to see us north Americans hijacking their club and turning it into some sort of mass marketing machine like Manure.

Well as you've nominated yourself spokesman for us Arsenal supporters I think you should explain yourself .

I hope we do become a big marketing machine, then we'd have money to burn as well.

Why exactly should YOU support Arsenal? Shouldn't you be supporting a Canadian team?

Unfortunately all the good players that Canada has e.g. Owen Hargreaves, Tomaz Radzinski, etc. either don't play for Canada or aren't allowed to travel across the Atlantic to play for their country.

As a Canadian Arsenal fan . . . I'm quite proud and happy that there is a supporter's club for US & Canadian fans . . . sheesh, don't leave your northern friends out of it!!! I'm looking forward to travelling with fellow Arsenal America members to THOF either this year or next year!!!

Think of it, would you really want America's Team to be Man U?

It would appear Canuck Power suffers from a condition that is known by the technical term, "talking out of your arse."

Dude, you don't dig Arsenal America, that's cool, but do some homework first. If you did you'd know that I write a monthly column for the official Arsenal magazine, that we've been featured in the match day programmes several times, that we took 18 members to Highbury last season and were treated very well and that in general the club is a big supporter of us.

You'd also know that just about everybody here, including several Canadians are members of Arsenal America.

I'm not just a member, I'm the president.

    Cheers,

I already thought Arsenal was a marketing machine. ;)

Seriously, CP, sounds like you have some self-esteem issues. Maybe this guy can help you out:

Well, in the interest of not sounding like a hypocrite, I think I've come to the conclusion that only lads and ladies from North London should support Arsenal. Therefore, I will withdraw my support for the Gunners and support my local team, the Toronto Lynx.

I just folded up my Arsenal shirt for the last time, I'm not interested in being a plastic supporter. I don't feel I have the right to support the club, unless I lived at Highbury, maybe for two or three years. You have to earn the right to be considered a true supporter. If we don't all do so now, Arsenal's rep will be damaged forever.

Yeah, and I'm throwing out my copy of William Shatner's "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds." Arsenal's my team, and "rep will be damaged forever" be damned. And, if I may mix idioms, Sod off, you infinite hose-head.

    Lorne Greene, too.

    Same goes for Celine Dionne.

    Marcel Dionne too.

Lanny MacDonald. Leslie Neilson. Wayne Gretzky, and all the Indiannapolis Racers team. Michael J. Fox. John Candy. Wait - he's dead. OK, so is Lorne Greene, but who noticed?

Pamela Anderson. Geddy Lee. Wait - If Pamela Anderson married Geddy Lee, would that make her Pamela Anderson Lee?

Awright, I'm folding up my Bob Lenarduzzi jersey for the last time.

People from Canada are OK. Fools I do not suffer lightly, despite their geographic situation.

    d. Canada's first victim of Mad Cow Disease?

    e. Canada's one and only Vietnam War veteran?

    f. A suicide candidate, trying to kill himself by way of message board?

    g. An elaborate hoazer who wants to see how long he can keep us all dangling on his purile and inane thread???

if i have to live near the team i support, does that mean i can't support the maple leafs in hockey anymore? or the mavs now in basketball because i moved back to louisiana from dallas? how about pittsburgh in american football because i've never been there? does this mean that i can't support anybody because there is no professional sports team closer than 2 and a half hours away?

but thats just for being a steeler fan.

Here's an idea Canuck... support BOTH the lynx... AND Arsenal. the odds of them ever playing agianst each other are... slim and none. and slim just left town.

Yeah, this is definitely one of the weirder and more manic depressive threads I've ever read. So he feels guilty about being an Arsenal fan because he's not from North London? How quaint. Reminds me of that jackhole ManUre fan that first wouldn't admit he was such, then proceeded to tell us all that we weren't true fans because we couldn't go to games. CP, if you want to put away your Arsenal shirt because you feel guilty, go right ahead. I'd rather not have artificial supporters anyway. Only REAL Gooners, please. (That's real as in not fake, not Real as in Madrid)

On a side note, awesome picture of Grapes.

On a second side note, jeger, we'd love to have you in the 'Burgh, though good luck getting tickets.

On a third side note, Sanka, what's wrong with Steeler fans? Did you get shut out of a game for your team because visiting Steeler fans bought all the tickets and made it a Steeler home game? Or are you a Br*wns fan, which is almost as pathetic as being a Sp*rs fan? I said "almost".
