These guys are making more than the minimium in MLS of 12k in fact 2 or 3 times the MLS min.

I know they are consider amaturs in Germany but they are living off soccer salaries which makes them professional to me.

A Yank Abroad is a Yank Abroad. Heck, we've been to Zimbawe and Nepal and places in between (ok, there's never really been a yank anyplace between Zimbawe and Nepal, but if there was we'd have been there.)

If we are not following Yanks in the Oberliga it's just because no one is starting the thread. There is certainly no prohibition.

That's the 4th division in Germany, right (one below the Regionaliga)? I'd say we don't follow them due to lack of reliable, translated information. Much the same way, we don't follow the Nationwide Conference in England-- too below the radar.

Yeah, I think we would be interested, at least in names on the big list and a thread a season or something, but you really have to have a fan of the team on here, or the player himself, to post stuff.

Ya and there are a 9 of them (if you're counting - Nord, NOFV-Nord, NOFV-Süd, Nordrhein, Westfalen, Hessen, Südwest, Baden-Württemberg and Bayern), with 18 teams in each Oberliga.

I did read that there'll be a new Bundesliga 3 beginning in 2008, moving Oberliga down to the 5th level.
