Having long makes you look gay. I thought Gaucho Argies were tough guys, not effeminate pretty boys.

Passarella refused to pick Fernando Rendondo, because he refused to cut his hair. There was rumours Rendondo was an active homosexual and Passarella hated queers.

 

no its not that, in the old days, the rich and wealthy, who were the only one available to afford commodities, like soap and shampoo, were the only ones who wore their hair long. The poor used to cut their hair, short, for hygenic reasons.

But, it seems to be catching on, at least to the players that went played Argentina, Juan Pablo Angel, Mario Alberto Yepes, Giovanni Hernandez, Gerardo Bedoya.....but it kinda goes hand in hand........besides Ronaldinho, what other Brazilian has long hair?

yeap....when JPA move from river to EPL, he considered other look, and they told him to keep it long for promotional efforts and marketing reasons.

It sells good, and if the player is Ugly as hell, it will keep their face Half covered

 

Perhaps the Argie players keep their hair long so they can hide drugs in it before the match. They can then see if they can make a few deals on the pitch, perhaps make a bob or two.

 

I think it has more to do with long hair being stylish and fashionable in free parts of the world like s. america, europe, and japan and most of the players there wear it long. But in a restricted facist society like the fundamentalist christian state the USA. You are ostricized for showing one's ndividuality. In the US its cool to want to look like a republican and have brown people overseas be murdered by our bombs, just ask the crew fans. Why do you think they hate Frankie so much?
