Bush had pretty much had a free pass on whatever the heck he was doing from age 20-40. The guy was a drug addict and alcoholic. Every freaking addict has closets bursting with skeletons.
As This American Life so eloquently put it this weekend, here's the he-said, he-said version of voting fraud in this cycle. Democrats: GOP throwing out thousands of valid voter registration cards in Nevada because the submitter checked "Democrat" as party affiliation, Florida dismissing thousands of voter registrations because they weren't on the proper card stock, Ohio Republicans challenging thousands of registered voters because they didn't go pick up the registered mail envelopes the GOP sent, West Virginia Republicans calling Democratic-affiliated voters to tell them that they were not registered voters so don't bother showing up on November 2nd, Wisconsin Republicans challenging tens of thousands of apartment dwellers in Milwaukee b/c the apartment number wasn't listed, etc. Republicans: Crack cocaine! Yeah, they're about the same...
Those who leave this world with negative rep don't stand before St. Peter. They take a more...ahem...southern route.
Actually, guys, USAsoccer is right for once. Here's our nefarious plot. Oh, and while you're there, check this out.
I thought I'd put this here. Hope peledre catches it. http://www.argusleader.com/news/Tuesdayarticle1.shtml "Republican poll workers in Lake Andes were intimidating Native American voters on Monday, a federal judge ruled early today. Republicans may not write down license plate numbers or follow Native Americans from polling places during today's election, U.S. District Judge Lawrence Piersol ruled in a temporary restraining order." My emphasis. Okay GOPs, defend your boys.
IF the criteria for holding neocon POVs were defensible positions, these guys would have packed it in long ago. The response will be the only thing it CAN be; a lie or a thumbing of the nose.
