Actually Pumas won the last 2 games and has looked good at times in Libertadores. Azul has sucked in the libertadores and in the regular season.

I have to say its a mental issue and a defensive. Before the Azul player were not hustling or doing any combat spirit. Games like against Strongest were proof of that. Today the were actually in control and were playing better and hustling out there. Then Brown totally whiffed on a cleareance and in came the 1st goal. After that it was ALL Atlante. The tactics also sucked, since Gutierrez and Davino were taken out but were playing well and in came Zepeda and Baldi, who both sucked and did squat.

    back in el defectuoso
Cruz Azul's players have been abysmal this season. However things might have been compunded by Carrillo's lack of integration with the plantel. Remember his comments at the beginning of the season when he said that the young players he had from Fuerzas Basicas were still very undeveloped and that he needed more reinforcements? There might be a total lack of team integration and motivation. IMHO Carrillo must go.

At this point, you have a team that's pressing. You can see it in they way they play. It takes real leadership to get the team to relax and play their game and it's just not happening.

It would also help if Carrillo didn't ask players to do things they are not very good at.

I place all the blame on Carillo. While the team has not adjusted to his tactics. The defence has been the most atrocious. Seems like he never worked with the backline more like he experimented with it. Cruz Azul needs a coach with more personality. I hear Bora Milutinovic is back in town...

What is wrong with Velibor ? You might not like his teams style of play but it is a very effective tactic, especially in Liguilla style tournaments and he is the (Booker T impersonation *Hold hand in front of face shaking it) Five times (Reopeat x5) World Cup Coach.

If i was with the Cruz Azul directiva i would certainly give him a call. Carillo has not shown anything and La Maquina Celeste should not be a training ground for Coaches.

I just don't like Bora's style. Although you could argue that that's exactly what Cruz Azul needs at the moment. Billy Alvarez should be thinking long term, not just to salvage this season.

I would still prefer Tomas Boy. If ya smell what da Monkey is cookin'

No more time left to start thinking long term, too late for that. Bring in Milutinovic and fisnish the Clausura and CL in one piece before this team ends up in the relegation zone..

Radio Unica is reporting that Ramon "el Pelado" Diaz along with jejeje Ojitos Meza are possible candidates to take over Cruz Azul !!! Given those choices i would take Ramon Diaz (Ex River Plate) He has the type of Mentality that is lacking in Cruz Azul at the moment..

Geez, Meza back with Cruz Azul. That's all we need. Ramon Diaz would be a very good choice. The last think Cruz Azul needs is Meza's wimpy attitude. He's a nice guy but not cut out for these types of situations.
