That is just wonderful. Now Bielsa has yet another excuse for the WC fiasco. If only AFA would have allowed me to go to Copa America and try players like Saviola and D'alessandro... Right. Argentina could have tried the young players during the last third of qualifiers, because they were already in. And what about the preparation matches, what are they for? Everybody in Argentina, except Bielsa, knew that Saviola should be in the team. And probably D'alessandro, too. Other than that, nice article.
Well the article didn't claim Bielsa said that did it? But it does have a point that more games means even more chances to bleed young players, try new formations (of course, I doubt Bielsa would have tried anything besides his pet formation no matter who he called up).
