Here's my take: The players on this team have lost SO much confidence, that when they are going to goal, or are already in front of goal, they aren't thinking, "I'm going to bury this one!", they're thinking, "I hope I don't screw up!" If you look at the actual players we have, they are capable of scoring goals. Right now its a confidence thing.

that and hudson tactics are questionable - stewart does not belong on top of the lineup by himself - you also have a lot of young attackers, be patient i guess - in any event, take heart: KC should have had 3 or 4 easy goals last night and they repeatedly blew the bunnies

After just watching much of that game again, I think that the outside players should just start hammering the ball in to the box more often.

    1) It gives the forwards more chances to score.
    2) If the ball is always flying into the box then it encourages the forwards to be there, and the midfielders to make some runs there as well.

I think someting needs to happen - motivational wise - to overcome DCU's lack of enthusiasm... maybe something needs to be changed in $... can Coach Hudson award extra fee$ to scorers? Imagine that:

    Coach Hudson:

"Hey Marco... loved that penalty shot, here's $10,000; go get new siding for your house."

    or

"Hey Bobbie Convey, you did great... here's $5,000; get a haircut!"

    or

"Hey you SOB Hristo... you didn't score you twit! I'm deducting $10,000 from your paycheck this week! Sorry"

    IMAGINE THE MOTIVATION!

Thats def. not what we need. Remember a few years back when they started giving players cash for goals, well players started to take on the world by themselves. Offer the whole team a raise for every win. That way, they will have a team effort getting to goal, but a individual effort putting it in the net. IMHO just tell the guys to put the ball in the net.
