The portions of the first half I saw I can say I was entertained for the first time this season.

 

Dang. Nice soccer boys. Max having an absolutely outstanding game. I would keep giving Picard chances/experience. Gazdag is not going to get any better. Gomes playing right up to my earlier analysis unfortunately; some smooth cool stuff, but watch him on that shot on us outside the box where he was back in the middle and the closest man. That is not the reaction, responsiveness, anticipation and action of a man who is desperate not to lose.

On a separate note, this start of the the season has been some of the worst soccer I've seen in a while. And not just us. We've actually had some decent moments. Tonight was a great example. I'm happy to be back to the point where we can move the ball around nicely, but can't do anything in the fire zone. But we have played some pss poor teams this year. Dang.

If all you knew about the MLS were the games we played, you wouldn't have even made it to this game.

 

Slowly, but surely, Hugo is developing into a valuable player. Sort of reminds me of how Matan slowly developed.

It's odd, NE played with zero intensity, absolutely no sense of urgency. They get a goal, and now they've woken up and all of a sudden, they look the more likely team to score a second goal.
