The VA hospitals do a lot of good things. I have a Vietnam Vet friend who frequently reminds me of that fact--for him. He has been attending a PTSD group for a couple of decades. He claims it helps him sustain life. I've worked in a VA hospital out here in Palo Alto. It's actually quite nice. Not to say there isn't bad... "Right now, the number of homeless male and female Vietnam era veterans is greater than the number of service persons who died during that war -- and a small number of Desert Storm veterans are also appearing in the homeless population." This is a disgrace.
