Okay those are the three offers that have come in. The teams don't really matter - what matters is do you accept the money or not. I'd like to get some discussion on the moves amongst the masses.
Okay, now that you have had time to think about the money coming in, we need to address our weaknesses. From my view of the team we need to look at another central defender, a younger left back, possible left midfielder (Sell Sinclair) , possibly a center mid (sell Carrick) a target forward (sell Kanoute), and a 3rd forward. That's five players - not including the fact that big Les is 45 years old. So let's get some names bandied about for discussion. The sky is not the limit. Should we remain in the EPL - Terry Brown has given us £10 Million to spend, plus most of what we bring in from our transfers out.
I would sell anyone until we bought somebody. We need Kanoute because of Ferdinand's age. I'd be most inclined to sell Tricky Trev cause I've never been as big a fan of his as I think others have and we have plenty of midfielders. 4.5 is too low though. I'd want at least 6. We need at least 1 more good central defender and then we can sell Breen. I'm talking Jaap Stam here and not another player no one else in the EPL wants (like Breen). I think we can get by with Repka, Pearce and Dailly if we have one class player in that mix. (I can dream, can't I?)

So we have one for selling King Kanoute for £ 7 Million. We'll let this fester a bit. "Carrick, Cole, and Defoe" - that really is a beautiful thing.
Our scouts are working all over Europe. We are looking for a powerful target forward. One scout recommends we look at John Hartson of Celtic. Another scout recommends Arnold Bruggink of PSV. [Note: Not a target Forward] Luca Toni of Brescia is getting some looks as well. Any forwards in the English 1st Division who we should consider? Clint Mathis has also entered the radar thanks to our new North American scout. Our scout in Spain thinks we should look at Roy McKaay of Deportivo. He has to be out of our price range. Age: How old should our target forward be?
In search for defenders a few players have turned up. Man City's Steve Howey is available for £500,000. The 31 year old is out of favor with Kevin Keegan and is looking to move. Patrick Zwanszijk of FC Utrecht is looking to move to England. The tall central defender couldn't come to terms with Stoke City, but FC Utrecht has to sell and they would like £2.3 million for him. The North American scout has mentioned the Metrostars Eddie Pope. Although he has battled through injuries, West Ham management likes the thought of a Yank in the squad. He is available for free in January, but MLS is notorious for holding up players. We are waiting reports from our German, French and Italian scouts. Please feel free to look for players and submit them.
I'd take the money for Kanoute in a heartbeat. I'm not sure about Sinclair but if MLS would give me DaMarcus Beasley and a case of Weight Gain 4000 for a decent price I'd probably make the move. Carrick to the Arse for 6 mill? Yeah. Wenger will just buy another Frenchmen and sit Michael on the bench. We could get him back real cheap the next year. I've recently become intrigued by the idea of an Edson Buddle and Jermain Defoe partnership. He's a big guy that could knock long balls down for Jermaine, he finishes well and can play balls into space for him, also. In a pinch he can play in the midfield as well. While we're at it, I'd gladly take Clint Mathis on a free. Who wouldn't want to see the world's first cockney redneck?
I think DMB could get a Work permit, as could Cletus, but not Buddle - although that would be a nice partnership. i'm in the keep Carrick, sell Kanoute - and see what money comes in for Sinclair camp.
Could this be our target forward? Klose race hots up Klose is in demendGerman international and Kaiserslautern striker Miroslav Klose says Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund have made him offers to join them. "I've currently had two offers from Bayern and Dortmund," said Klose. The price is set at 5 million Euros I believe. Bargain for WHU and he would be excellent with Defoe. Let's go get him!
For some reason I've never been a big fan of Klose. Other than his outburst in the World Cup, he's been underwhelming to me.
he's had a couple of good seasons for K-Town, plus he is excellent in the air. Excellent. He is also a good goal maker, something that will pair with Jermainator very well. Plus a move for a player of Klose's stature would show we mean business and won't be looking for survival, but a place in Europe.
Thought we'd have more activity on this thread. I guess everyone isn't as positive as I am about the run in.
Other than the WC, I have never seen Klose. Dont know to much about him but he looked a bit one dimensional like Bierhoff. I cannot imagine someone like Bierhoff at WH. We need flair, creativity and a mean streak rife with passion. Cletus would fill that role very nicely.
