That my friend is the key variable. 90,000 goes a long way in Bolivia and it's about equivalent to $250,000 in the USA. Crap, in Bolivia for $90,000 you can buy 2 nice single family homes and eat well every day for an entire year. In the USA, $250,000 with either get you a town home or a down payment on a single family home, and thats it! I don't blame players for wanting significantly more if they play out of Bolivia.
you just need to give arce patience...hell get back in form and will do good considering hes in bolivia with not so great competition and will gain mental confidence.....hes a good player..be patient with him...
Not quite true, Fuego. I have a reliable source in Bolivar that confirmed that Valentierra earned $US10,000 PER MONTH, not per year. He also mentioned that the average salary is $US 1,800/month, with the lowest salary being $700 and the highest $8,000 per month.
^^^^^^^^^ I have to agree I had a buddy of mine just moved to Bolivia and he said the same thing about the players in Bolivar, He had no clue that the MLS players where making so little compared to the players playing for Bolivar ( I think Boliviar is the exception not the rule).
LOL I meant to write up a month hahahaha. I have a copy of all the plaeyrs salarys for that year. Lemme see if i can dig it up, but it was crazy! Like botero was only getting paid i think 7k, that asshole renato ramos was getting 9k yearly! Thank god hes gone!
Yea i keep putting up yearly lol Who else, lemme see... i know like abdon was only getting 4k a month if i remember right, like some salaries were decent but then there were guys like the least paid guy, that little goal keeper, farfan i think, was getting 200dollars a month! So i mean, bolivar pays good, but still in total pays about a million in salaries. At that time they were somewhere close to 1.5 but from what i hear, they are now only about a million. I wonder what the teams salaries look like now, with charles da silva, ferriera, schiaparelli(sp), etc.
Ok, here's the list of salaries to give you an idea of how good the richest team can pay its players in bolivia. Also this was from last season. Keep in mind all the salaries are in USD:
well his team is facing relegation but he just scored his first goal the other day...here's the link his video should be on the first or second page http://videobolivia.com/videodeportes.php
Damn, i remember sport werent doing so bad. Like didnt they win last year one of the internal cups in brasil?

Arce's Goal off a FK that hit the post. He still has it, the highlights he has on here shows it. Brasil is bringing back the Old Arce. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ogaluV3nkDk"]YouTube - Atlético-MG 1x1 Sport - Série A / Brasileirão 2009: 22ªRodada [ HQ ] ? www.futvideos.com[/ame]
If he keeps it up, i am sure he will get call ups. He looks like he is getting back his rhythem and confidence over there.
Oh, no he went to Korea, but apparently was a bench warmer. Japan IMO is very comparable to south american soccer, and i'd put it right there iwth playing in mexico.
