Would that be the same Brenes that played for the MetroStars last year and was with Costa Rica at last year's Olympics???
From what I saw with the Metros, he was nothing to stand out....Then again, most of the time he was not available because he was away on int. duty with CR. Didn't really impress me, though.

El Chunche is the last person that should have become a professional football player. Did they ever find the ball of the goal he missed in the infamous "jugada del zopilote"...:p

Anyways, the best from Costa Rica IMO have been:
1.Alejandro Morera Soto- I think he was a forward and played for Barcelona.
2.Hernan Medford- to make it clear, he was NEVER offside on that goal he scored against Mexico. When Fonseca kicked the ball, he was in perfect position, and it was after the GK touched it that he seemd in offside.
3.Juan Arnoldo Cayaso-This guy scored the first ever goal by Costa Rica on World Cups against Scotland.

That would be Pablo Brenes...I don't think that's the guy called Pollo Brenes.

But I think Pablo Brenes is good, he's been playing good in Saprissa, the only problem is that sometimes he disappears from the game, but when given the chance, he shows some great skill.

I remember Cayaso--great player in the 90 WC, and who could forget Conejo?
The GK (or was it Camejo?) Anyhow, he was sick.

Oh yeah....how could I forget about Conejo?...

He's definetely one of the best goalkeepers...probably the best, that Costa Rica ever had. He played for Albacete in Spain btw...
