Howard, Califf, Bocanegra, Pope, Convey, Beasley, Guevara, Donovan, Klein, Ruiz, Twellman. If it's based on current play I'd swap McBride for Ruiz, but on ability alone I'd take the Fish.

What's really remarkable about these lists, compared with similar lists from earlier years of MLS, is how many Americans are on them.

I used to think MLS was stretching to put 5 or 6 Americans on its end-of-the-year best 11. This year, if things keep going as they are, we could very plausibly have an all-American 11, and very likely have only one or two foreigners on it...

I exchange Marino for Preki or Preki for Marino.

I'd get Jolley and Williams on that team somehow as well. Williams as a 4th Midfielder and Jolley as a second central defender with Pope. Maybe move out Jones and Hedjuk. Our two have been critical for our defenseive success so far.

Sneaky Pete Marino? Where is playing nowadays anyway?

Now, if you mean Kyle Martino, leave Preki in and put Kyle in place of Jones who with his team has done nothing this year.
