They just announced that over 30,000 tickets have been sold for the final. So that works out to 29,960 Revolution supporters and 40 galaxy fans.:
-Boston Globe Online- ''We have sold 10,000 tickets the last two days, which shows a direct correlation between the impact of having the Revolution in it,'' team director of special events Craig Tornberg said yesterday. ''Four weeks ago I thought we would be in the 30,000 range but now all bets are off. We are at 30,000-plus now and we have never had anything close to this in a similar period of time.'' i hope we get 50+ fans by sunday.
You have to realise there are ALOT of other fans who are not connected to the RS, Galaxians, or these message boards in any way, so you can gurantee well over any number we drumb up here. Not to mention a few Guatemalns/Salvadoarans who always turn up at G's games to root for us.
I was directly behind the San Ho section at CCS last year. The sad part was that it didn't matter how few of them there were. The problem was that they had no clue how to act. Fire fans and Crew fans kept showing up trying to lead cheers or get them to at least stand up and get excited. Nothing worked. They sat there like lumps watching TV. Very sad.
With all that Sniper stuff going around in the east coast, I would just stay home........ Its not like LA does well in MLS finals... DC should have been there...
Of all people you would probably be better leaving the DC area, I guess we don't really do well in the finals, but we get there.....whatever happens I'll still be proud of the G's. I can't belive Im leaving this beautifull weather for the weekend to go to the crappy east coast cold......go Bill Buckner you are my hero!!!
$250 on United as of today if you book on Orbitz...non-stop from LAX to Boston, leave Saturday, return Monday. I don't even like the Galaxy, but I'd still like to see as many fans there as possible.
