Razov, Wolf & Faria...Who's gonna feed these boys? Looks like we now have a 3 pronged attack at front. My only question is who's gonna provide these boys the ball. With Peter questionable (retirement, injuries), seems like were in dire need of a midfield-feeder.
Re: Razov, Wolf & Faria...Who's gonna feed these boys? The odds on wolff and razov being healthy at the same time are high. The problem of not having a good feeder was a problem for the fire all right and with salary cap restrictions and no high draft picks it is going to be tough to solve.
It's a valid question, but I think that's one of the fundamental questions that practically every MLS team is asking. Hardly any team has a playmaking midfielder worth a damn anymore. We've been blessed with Nowak...I think it's a valid argument that we don't have a successor, and I don't see one available for trade in the league...
Unless someone takes a rather large pay cut, it's nearly impossible for us to keep both Wolff and Razov next season. Later, COZ
i think Kovalenko is at his worst when he is controlling the run of play. I would love to see a trade involving Mathis at this point. Or at least go abroad to find some playmaker.
Kovalenko proved he can't get the job done this year. I think a playmaker is someone you trade for and not someone that can be drafted. You need experience to be a playmaker. I too believe that Raz, Rod, or The Wolf will be gone by next year. Razov for Ronnie Euklund (sp)??
So who are we getting from DC, a draft pick ? Convey's what we need, no way DC is dealing Wolff for Convey unless they go mad and decide Etch can fill the #10 another year or two.
Exactly. My money is on either Razov or Wolff being sold in the transfer markey or, more likely, traded to another MLS club.
I'm still trying to figure out my conspiracy theory, but somehow that failed "deal" during the summer that had Faria coming here for Wolf keeps coming back to me. At the time, there was an alleged falling out between Bradley and Wolf that caused the Fire to look at the deal. Well, we got Faria, Wolf may be on his way....
Huh? For the life of me I cannot see why Hudson would clear enough salary cap space (i.e. getting rid of the oft-injured Moreno) to add yet another injury-prone player at the max salary. I don't think this will happen, but if it does, I'll be a very pissed off DC United fan, as durability of finishers is the reason we sucked this season. -Tron
Goodbye Wolff Josh Wolff should be shown the door as the odd man out at the forward line. The question should be- who is going to feed Razov and Faria? If Nowak doesn't return next season, then we can replace him and his salary with another dominant SI playmaker in central midfield. If Stoitchkov and Nowak retire, that could free up alot of space and money for fresh international talent.
Re: Goodbye Wolff Ante, shouldn't you hire a PR man to prop up your status with the fans and management? Or do you enjoy publicly stroking yourself?
Marek Citko is available on free in January (out of favor at Legia). He used to be awesome. Now at only 28, he's wasting away. He can still play at a high level. Someone with an ear among the powers that be let Peter Wilt know to call Legia Warsaw. Seriously.
