I vote for Reading. For no other reason than I would just like to see another American in The Premiership next season.

The question was who do you think will go up, not who do you want to go up.

I said a while back that I thought Forest would do it and I'll stand by that. The third-place team always seems to falter in the playoff.

Yep, there's definitely something wrong with this poll. As most media experts will tell you, Reading shouldn't even be there as everyone knows we just got had a lucky run in our last 44 matches. How can a team without any big money, high wage, premiership rejects deserve to be up there? Is it fair that a club like Ipswich, who have a fine tradition, miss out on the chance to return just because their points tally isn't good enough? It's just ridiculous. Until the football league scrap the unfair league table system and work out promotion based on crowd size and past history the game has no chance.

Most of the Reading voters probably are from the US and would like to see Marcus play in the EPL. I hope Reading makes it too, but I voted for United.

I've a sneaking suspicion that it may be Forest who win through. Out of the four I would like to see either them or Reading promoted.

I wouldn't want Sheff.Utd. to go up cos Neil Warnock is a tit, and I don't like Wolves as their fans think they are a 'big' club who have a divine right to be in the Premiership.

All you Americans who would like to see Reading go up so you could see another Yank in the 'EPL'????? Have you considered the fact that they might look to strengthen the squad and decide that Hahnemann (sic) is not up to scratch?

Also, another American, 'Super' Benny Olsen had a succesfull loan spell at Forest a couple of years ago. The deal wasn't made permanent as Forest were skint, but perhaps with promotion they might go back in for him. (I have no idea where he is now). Forest's current left-back Jim Brennan is a native of your North American cousins, Canada, is this good enough for you?

Well, this American voted for United. Not that I really *want* to see them promoted, but I've got a feeling they'll win it.

I think that feeling is known as masochism.

Voting for Reading because Hanneman is on the Royals is like people voting for Canadians voting for Sheffield United becasue Paul Peschisolido is on the Blades.

I'm another American who supports Reading, but I supported them back when they were in Division 2 and before they signed Hahnemann.

To be honest, I'm a bit torn about the possibility of their going up to the Premiership. On the one hand, it would be an impressive achievement after being in Division 2 last season and would be proof that Alan Pardew is one of the shrewdest managers in England.

On the other hand, I'm not sure that Reading is quite equipped to be a Premiership side. The Mad House is a great stadium, but the fact is that it would be one of the smallest, if not the smallest, in the Premiership, as it only holds 25,000. The club's support is decent for Division 1, but hardly massive.

At the end of the day, they would have to either rely on John Madejski's millions to survive in the Premiership or they'd have to prepare for a stuffing every week and a quick return to Division 1.

Like I said, I'm torn. Premiership football for Reading would be nice, but if they're going up, I want to see them go up for good and not for just one season. I don't want to see them become the next West Brom or Bradford City or Watford.
