It's almost certain that Juve, Inter and Milan will qualify for the Champions League next season, so it's up to Lazio, Parma and Chievo and maybe even Udinese to fill the last spot. Who do you guy's think that it's going to be. Obviously i say Laizio but we have some hard games ahead of us including matches against Parma, Inter and Juventus so a couple of losses could blow the situation wide open and and other teams such as chievo and parma may well get the chance to play with the big boy's of Europe. If Lazio Don't make it then i would like to see Parma take the last place because i like their style of play and i believe Chievo have been found out and are my first tip to be religated next season. Also Lazio deserve it because we need the money.
For sure Lazio can use the money.... Dont read too much into the remaining schedule, Lazio still has Como, Piacenza, Modena to play also..the chance to kill off Parma will be this weekend...both teams coming off big victories.
I would much rather Parma or Chievo play in Europe than Lazio, Chievo especially. Their brand of soccer would be fun to watch in the champions league and would further endear neutral fans to calcio. My knock on Lazio is although they can play brilliant soccer, half their team may not even be there next season. The last thing Italy needs is a team in transition playing in Europe.
Unfortuately, Chievo wouldn't even make it to the Champions League, and subsequently get knocked out from the UEFA Cup in two games like they did this season. Better to have a team like Lazio who has a fighting chance to do well.
Chievo have hardly been entertaining this season. Last season they fought to in every match and played stylish football. now they are playing for draw's or just wear down their opponents and get them in a counter attack.
