Who's going to the Super Bowl? I think the Bucs are going to shake off their winless streak against the Eagles (0-4 in their last four games), even at Vet's Stadium. Oakland is going to destroy the Titans. Number one offense (Oakland) v number one defense (Tampa Bay) in the big game. It's going to be a classic.
Eagles and Raiders. I'm hoping that the Eagles win. The Eagles are almost unbeatable and the Raiders are really tough, especially at home.
Eagles v Raiders - Raiders win another exciting SB. But then again - its the NFL. I dont know what made up rule, or perplexed official's decision is gonna decide it.
In a repeat of the 1980-81 season, the Raiders will beat the Eagles. McNabb and Jaws can compare runner-up rings.
I was watching a Bucs game towards the beginning of the year and it said that, in the entire history of the franchise, they had never won a single game when the weather was under 60 degrees. They've beaten Chicago in Chicago since then, but the weather in Philly this weekend will be well under freezing, and it could very well be snowing. And that's without even going into the fan craziness factor. Philly and Oakland are near-locks to make the Super Bowl rematch. I'd love to saythe Iggles will win, but I just don't know. It's a tossup. Alex
At least one road team has won the conference championship game in each of the past 5 season 2002 Patriots 2001 Ravens 2000 Titans 1999 Falcons 1998 Broncos and Packers I go with recent history and take the Bucs over the Eagles and Raiders over Titans
I'll be at the Vet on Sunday, and as a long-time Eagles fan I tend to expect the worst. With that said, I can't see how Tampa shakes the jinx this time compared to all of the other times. Brad Johnson got knocked silly in Philly earlier in the season, and their last two playoff games here were disasters. They haven't changed that much in '02-'03. Eagles blow it open late. Titans have been the most underrated team in the NFL this season -- but it's probably not enough to win in Oakland. Every time I think that Oakland's age is going to be exposed, they come back with some new thing that keeps them going, like Jerry Porter last week. And the o-line has been the best in the league this year. Raiders by at least 10.
I dont really care, but here's a prediction: the Raiders and Eagles will advance, and the game will be marred by a series of riots and stabbings that will get a single line of press on Monday, while Jim Rome will go off on the guy who kicked the horse in England at the Millwall game. If it is Oakland-Philly, I would not want to be anywhere near San Diego next week, unless I was setting up a Wild Turkey stand, and was armed.
