See above. "Twatting it" will also serve. And, depending on degree of skill (or absence of it), "hoofing it".
Right but what do you call the part of the foot that makes contact with the ball. (We called it instep in JA and in the US i think they say laces)
laces = batistuta twatting the ball into the roof of the net from 30 yards inside of the foot = henry passing it into the net after taking on the entire scouse team at highbury
from my background, instep is the laces where you just get over the ball to keep it down and "twat" it as some on here eloquently put it. to side foot he ball means the inside of the foot.
Thats daft. Ofcourse 'with your instep' means passing it into the net with the side of your foot. Doesn't take much brainwork to read the word slowly to yourself and realise that 'in..step' is the inside of your foot, the laces are on the top of the boot unless your wearing fancy ones which dress up on the instep ofcourse. Plus ofcourse that arch which a majority of people have on the side of their foot is called the 'instep', sorry if I just showed how to put 2 and 2 together. Laces = twat Instep = pass Outstep = fancy twats pass
Not a matter of brain work or someone being daft you **********..... soccer is as much cultural and different areas of the globe uses different terminology. if you read my posts prior i was attempting to learn how other people addressed a specific situation. now go ******** yourself.
I know what an instep is, its a shame you don't. If you want to talk bolloxs about football being cultural and words describing different things fair enough, but your term for twatting the ball is still daft. And calling it daft doesn't warrant such a terse response.
Dont understand why you have to be insulting in the first place, all i said was this is what i grew up calling it. could be that i am wrong, but why i gotta be daft? all the members of my neigbohood team called it that and i followed suit. and yes it is cultural in the terminolgy used for example the outside of the foot we used to see it is a "banana" somewhere on here they called it a "trivela" which i assume is Portuguese since it was in relation to Quaresma. should we call those people daft too?

"Who gives a shit?" In turn, there are numerous answers to this question, such as: "I don't give a shit." "Nobody gives a shit."
And who had better form with their instep drives again? In all this excitement, I've forgotten the whole point of the debate.
lol, ok well i said gerrard, but only the most minimal amount, and it just created discussion, so i said it. anyone else got some good pointers onm whos better?
