Jan and I are going to Italy in March for her 40th birthday, and she wants to see some calcio while we're there. So we scored tickets for Juve v Deportivo on 9th, in Torino.

I can't wait to see Lo Stadio Delle Alpi!

And the following Sunday (March 14th) we're going to go see a Serie A game in Milan, at San Siro/Giuseppe Meazza, when Inter is hosting Chievo.

I have a good, no make that great wife.

    :)

Good for you, Mike. I'm envious. Juve-Depor should be a memorable one.

    Mangia bene!

Why it's the foulest most ugliest stadium in the world.

I've seen better looking sewage refinary complexes.

Your absolutley right. Which is why the organization is building a brand-new stadium.

Seriously, don't expect too much from the Juve match. The fans hate their own stadium, they're MUCH more impressive in away matches.

    Should still be good though.

The Inter - Chievo match will be worth it simply because of the great stadium, but if you want to get some more intense atmosphere (inter fans are in a little low atm, and Chievo isn't really a rival) you might also check if Atalanta Bergamo is playing (Bergamo is just a little outside of Milano, beautiful city really with great fans). They're Serie B though.

Already bought tickets for Inter v Chievo. Besides, we're staying in Milano for two days, and San Siro is easy to get to on Metro. Our hotel is also right outside a Metro stop.

We might go to Genoa on March 7th to see Genoa host Venezia. That could be fun, and it should be pretty easy to get tickets.

I thought they are "modifying" the Delle Alpi, keeping the outside the same but changing the seating architecture, creating much steeper stands for a better view. I believe the final project is supposed to be a soccer only stadium with a 50k capacity.

    I could be wrong however...

Mike, here are some pics of the Delle Alpi: http://www.stadionwelt.de/Stadionwe...listen/Stadionlisten_Italien/Turin/Turin.html

    That's a very cool site.

I looked at shots of Genoa and San Siro as well. Those both look awesome.
