What even is this? I only signed on to do one match day thread how come I am still here?

Anyway, short turnaround from our EL triumph against the Russians, time to play Liverpool's feeder club. They are on a pretty average run of results, meaning this is a danger game.

    COME ON ARSENAL!

    For those in the USA
April 8, 9:15am: vs Southampton (Premier League) - NBCSN

    For those in Canada
April 8, 9:15am: vs Southampton (Premier League) - TSN 5

    For those in Australia
April 8, 11:15pm: vs Southampton (Premier League) - Can we sandpaper the ball before corners?

@And_ROOS nice thread title! But IIRC the song goes "And they call him the streak"

And I think you better get use to this thread starting thing mate. Very positive thoughts surround you and Arsenal ATM.

Except perhaps that I just learned that Mkhi may have done his MCL a little bit. (weird considering how the collision looked) And Ospina's out for 2-3 weeks, so Cech better damn well stay fit.

p.s. don't forget that there's more than one time zone in USA, CAN & AUS. ;)

Nevermind, we play tomorrow. Thought that was a short turnaround to be playing today.

We all know that this game doesn't matter. Serious rotation with many youngsters getting playing time would be what I would like to see. Maybe even Ospina's back-up (whoever that is?).

I feel like in a decade or so, we'll look back at this team and the players Arsenal had and be blown away by how little Wenger got out of them.

Let's send these fools down. Tired of the St Mary's Smackdowns in recent years.

If we get wholesale changes then I fear a disjointed tight match. If we have a mostly first eleven out then we should be able to roll Southampton over without too much trouble.

I'm definitely on board with sending Hughes down. He bought into the Pulis approach at Stoke too much when he took over.

A Reiss Nelson sighting; Özil on the bench; Ramsey and Koscielny in the stands.

Arsenal: Cech, Bellerin, Chambers, Mustafi, Kolasinac, Elneny, Xhaka, Iwobi, Nelson, Welbeck, Aubameyang.

Subs: Macey, Holding, Monreal, Wilshere, Ozil, Lacazette, Nketiah

Massive changes in our lineup. Just what the doc ordered.

Ditto re Hughes... can't stand him.

And what a joy to hear a whole 1hr pregame show and not a single reference to Wenger needing to go, being in the hot seat, etc. Woohoo! Even Becca Lowe buttoned her South London lips.

Sparky is at Southampton? He needs to go to Wales next, just to hit every region of the Premier League.

Mustafi needs to go. Way too many of these blunders and he never takes the blame.

1 goal 1 assist. Top top work by Danny.

Showing Chelsea and West Ham players on my feed arriving at Shamford Bridge. Its funny when Optus try to build up shit matches. This isn't two contenders. Its broken Chelsea vs Underwhelming Ham.

I thought this started an hour later than it did, so I missed the first half. How was Nelson?

Loving the fact that he is running at players and always looking to make a forward pass, not just knocking it about sideways. Also brought out a few flicks while passing. All in all so far so good.
