Are we going to consider the US a team, and if so what players to choose from considering the Gold Cup and Copa America are back to back?

i honestly couldn't give two shits about copa america, we're not conmebol so why play in a conmebol tournament? we should send our olympic team or a youth team to copa america and use our full side in the gold cup because its actually our tournament

not to be mean but if hte US sends a youth team to Copa America u guys will lose every game 5-0 or more.... I mean seriously u bascially use ur full squad in Copa Oro and its still hard for u guys to win at home...

Everyone knows Copa Oro is rigged... EVERY FING yr its in the US... its been in mexico 1 time and like 9 in the US. Last time i looked into it there r more than 2 teams in the Concacaf...

Also why are there so many concacaf people in these forums....

and about my previous post about colombia.... I take the Vargas comment back... he played very well against chile

predicting mexico's starting line up is very difficult at the moment...

we are transitioning into a new era, a new coach is on his way, and i believe there will be plenty new players, which is a good thing...

hopefully the chosen one will be hugo.

Way too defensive of a line up. You have a solid 4 in the back and then you put 3 defensive minded midfielders. IRC is 30, he can still play, but Copa America should be about a team that is capable of also going to the WC '10.

I'm curious about how Mexico will transition from a team who's players where 99% all in Mexican soil, to having a number of their top players playing in Europe. One would think that could only help, but if you look at teams like Uruguay and Colombia, to just name 2, they've struggled having their European based players come and play tournaments like Copa America, Gold Cup, or friendly games that help them prepare better with the NT.

and that's the thought process that will keep having the USNT bow out in the 1st group stage of every WC they participate in....

lfsr1544 ? how is my colombia diff than urs??? Yepes is like 2 months younger than IRC... and u basically have all the same players u just subed castrillon for tessor...

Also I want IRC and Yepes to be on the Squad as well as Angel.. sort of as a good bye because they most likely wont play in the WC even if we do qualify

With 10 players. You have balls. ;)
Where is Calero? he hang up his boots for the N.T.?
Rightback is difficult in Colombia. Leftback. They play for years with Carlos Bedoya. Increible. Maybe Casierra. Marin would be a good player there. Experience and good attacking skills. Perea and Yepes central defenders and do many Colombians have nightmares from the awfull defending of IRC in the important away game against Uruguay.

Alvaro Dominguez is a good playmaker. Strikers. Falcao when he can show his level that he had last year when Merlo was técnico at River Plate. Renteria have power, technique, and most of his goals are brilliant.
A few good players in Mexico (Mosquera, Chitiva and some others. Zapata, and maybe Aguilar in Italy. Guarin who is in France now, together with Edixon Perea, who doesn't play much there.

Enough options for make a good team in the Copa America 2007.

    Suerte muchachos.

you had 4 guys in the back that play more of a central defender position. Marin makes runs up the field and defends as well.
And saying I basically subbed Castrillon for Tressor is like Brazil saying, why play Ronaldinho. Tressor is the heart of our team. He's the engine that makes it run at the moment. Without him, guys like Soto look lost on the field.

u kidding me.... Tessor SUCKS !!! he is good 1 game thats it and hell suck for 4 then play well 2 games then suck for 4...

We need a player who always plays well.... we dont need a #10... we need 11 players that play well together and as a team... give their hearts every game... something that tessor doesnt do.. just does when he is motivated to do so..

Tessor only played well against Peru and Ecuador and thats just because he was being looked at by alot of clubs to buy, as soon as he was bought by nextca or what ever mexican club it was his form on our NT dropped big time....

Tessor has played more than 4x many games as Soto and who has more goals and more assist? and what postions do they play?

Soto is the heart of our Nt he give everything for our team.. same with IRC even tho he screwed us against Uruguay... he still probably our best defender

I disagree 100%. To say that Tressor 'sucks' makes me realize, you like to argue just to fill time on these boards.
