Well, of course I support my own country. Maybe it would be more interesting to ask: "Which country beside your own do you support?"
Quite. Anyway, my "second team" is Ireland. They're a true underdog, suffered a cruel fate at the hands of Thierry Henry (excuse the pun) and have good-natured fans. And I might also add that my grandfather was Irish. I also want the Poles to do well. And those Scandinavians also are sympatico. And who am I particularly rooting against? Spain, Italy, Portugal, England... Okay, they're among Germany's main rivals. Yet I have a bit of a soft spot for Holland and France, so my Schadenfreude will be somewhat checked in respect to their fates.
I am serious. Because I don't have a rooting interest I don't care too much about the confederational tournaments other than the Gold Cup regardless of the high quality of the teams in the Euro. Just like if I wanted to watch the best clubs for the sake of watching the best clubs I would watch Barcelona and Real Madrid but I don't watch La Liga.
Due to a misguided sense of patriotism I will be supportin a shit team that can't play football full of players I despise.
Hm, sounds like you're English. Correct? Such disdain (or love-hate, if you will) for the national team and players doesn't seem too common elsewhere. At least at this point in time (my sense is the the French have generally warmed to Blanc's Les Bleus). Not that I blame you for your conflicting emotions. Lord knows some English NT aren't exactly model ambassadors for their country.

No, but I have a lot of Spanish relatives. More than likely I'll be watching the tournament with them. Not really, the thread is called "Who will you be supporting at Euro 2012?", not "Who will you be supporting at Euro 2012 and why? Just saying that if we wanna have a real conversation, you wanna know the reasons for rooting for a team. I wonder how many sympathise with Spain owing to aesthetic reasons. Their style does seem to polarise football fans.
