Don't open this thread and look at this poll unless you want match results spoiled.

16 countries remaining, and 1 simple question. Who lifts the World Cup on July 11th?

    Brazil.

There may be teams with slightly better individual skills like Spain or Argentina but I seriously doubt that there's a better team overall. Good stamina, great skills, wise tactics and excellent self-esteem will help Canarinhos get their 6th title. Dunga will not let his squad to party before the end of WC like it was 4 years ago. Their road to the final also looks relatively easy.

I want to see a worthy, cup-hungry nation finally lift it, like Spain, the Netherlands or Mexico, but see Argentina taking it

I voted England because my heart says so, but in all honestly I think Brazil will probably win.

I'm suprised with the number of Dutch fans. I voted Netherlands as well btw. Argentina and Brazil as the main other contenders at this moment.

How can you look at Palemor's shinning eyes after his goal, or the smile in Higuin's face, or Maradona's love for his team and not be convinced that they have all the components if they fix the central midfield problem and field the right people. Mexico exposed that weakness within the first 10 minutes by two completely unchallenged shots. With a little luck Mexico could have been up by two goals. That's the only weakness I see in this team.

They should have brought banega, cambiaso (hell even gago or lucho gonzalez, zanetti even since hes played a midfield role before)..unfortunately they did not and I think that will be their undoing if not by germany then prob. by spain next.
