But Vieri won't be happy. You're right but then they should have left Tomasson and not have gotten Vieri.
But I still dislike Vieri from going to Inter to ACM. Moratti say it does not matter, but watch how the Nerazurri will boo him in the Milan derby, I can barely wait, if he plays that is, and as a Milan fan how could you like him as well. I don't understand. Sorry.
Juventus repeats. Juve have addressed their main problem from last year at CM in a very significant way by signing Vieira. Further, they have added depth to the squad by signings such as Chiellini, Kovac, Giannichedda, etc. Milan will compete but Juve are stronger. Inter to disappoint and Roma to disappoint even more.
how do you know that? if vieri plays better, then i think he will play. you dont bench your best players. ancelotti aint that stupid.
Duck you don't have to fight over everything. Gila is a better player. You look in other fourms and see how they are talking about Gila maybe surpassing Rivera for all time Azzurri goals and you are trying to say there is a chance vieri will start will him. Ok there is a chance, there is a chance that Parma will win the league too. Anything is possible, but HIGHLY unlikely.
thats a pretty dumb comparison. vieri has been one of the best strikers in the world the last 8 years. his goals per game ratio is better then anyone in italy today. if he preforms like that at milan, he will play. i dont care whos in front of him in the pecking order. and tell me, what has parma done to indicate theyll ever win the league?
Hm he barely got a starting job at Inter with Martins and Adriano. One of the reasons he quit Inter. You think Gila is going to have a terrible year and Vieri is going to shine. Hot chance. Anything is possible.
who said anything about gilardino having a terrible year? you dont have to have a terrible year to be benched for vieri. im just saying its a possibility. i think gilardino will play too. theyve obviously paid alot of money for him and plan to use him. but vieri score more goals then anyone. if he keeps that up at milan, he will play. thats all im saying. gilardino will get his shots regardless.
yes he has. im not gonna look up the minutes vieri has played compared to gilardino, but its obvious that he scores much more frequently. the reason he was benched at inter is cause mancini wanted a smaller pacier partner for adriano. thats a tactical choice. put vieri on parma and have him play 90 mins every game and he would have scored alot more then gila has.
I can honestly say I hope Inter, Palermo, Roma, or Sampdoria win Serie A next season. I don't want to see Milan and Juve every year. However, in Europe I hope Milan win, with Juventus second, Barcelona third, and Inter fourth.
If Inter had bought wisely, I'd have said they have a good chance, because they do have a good core. Instead, they've bought umpteen midfielders and only Wome for defense. Inter's blowing its chance (Pizarro, Solari in, Veron kept, still no good d-mid) despite the possibility that Milan and Juve won't be quite as good next year. Both teams are aging, especially in defense. Juve is relying on the health of Thuram and Cannavarro, who played almost every game for Juve together last year. Given their ages, that's not likely to happen again. Juve's an old side right now, and adding Vieira didn't change that. Milan had better be careful about its defense as well. Other than Kaka and now Gilardino, its a fairly old side as well.
sorry to burst your bubble, but vieri is a world class striker. i think he will score more goals then gilardino this next campaign. just my opinion. and im going against everyone so i should get odds. gilardino is overrated
You're not alone, Duck. I'm not quite on the Gila bandwagon yet either. He has loads of potential, and some of his goals make for really good highlight reel footage. But he's always impressed me as being a slightly-better Inzaghi. That's not a putdown at all - Inzaghi has had a solid career for club and country. But to say Gilardino is hands-down better than Vieri already and (as is discussed in another thread) could challenge to become the all-time leading scorer for Italy, etc etc, well that seems a little overboard to me. It could happen, but I have to see how he does with a big club this year before I get convinced he's all that.
So you're saying Gila who scored 23 goals last campaign will have less amount of goals than vieri and vieri all of a sudden will start scoring like he did 3-4 years ago. That is far fitched. I don't know how you see vieri (age 32) Gila (age 23). Vieri is far pasted his prime just watch EURO2004 again you will see him miss simple headers, put ins, and what not. Gila is the real deal, i think juve fans are maybe a little jealous?
No I don't think they're jealous. The facts are simple. On paper he looks like the real deal and I've seen him play and I know it. But this is his FIRST big club in AC Milan and it's yet to be seen if he can cope with the pressure. The Azzuri shirt says something but scoring goals in and out at the San Siro each week is a whole different type of pressure.
Juve and Milan look the favourites again...But, Gilardino arrival mean Milan have strength in depth across the park and a first team as strong as anyone I can't see Inter getting that elusive title this season. I can't see how the new signings can become a cohesive and balanced unit within the current squad. Veron especially was a strange move given the amount of quality wingers on the books. With Seba in the team you'll need a more prosaic player on at least one flank, or you'll get over run in midfield. I guess the club must still be trying to get a few new bodies in and out of the club so we are only looking at half a picture, but it doesn't inspire me with confidence just yet....
rediculous, please i think a statment like Vieri will score more goals like Gila next year is more rediculous
