Ive got a gut feeling C.Republic will do really well, and have had speculative bets on them facing either Holland or England in the final at odds of 40/1 and 50/1 respectively. Dont fancy either of em but i always back my long odds hunches. Loosing 10 quid aint gonna even be noticed - realising you saw it comming always hurts when you dont go with it
ITALIA. They got one hell of a balanced team. From Buffon to Vieri. They gotta win the damn thing this time. I won't be suprised if France repeat the same crap they did in World Cup 2002.
I'm now stuck in two minds. France or Italy. Italy have some gk and defence, good midfield, and pretty good attack too. Onthe other hand France also have some team, but I don't know if I can rely on them after their world cup performance.
England, France or Italy. Just can't see either Iberian team pulling it out and Holland and Germany are a mess at the moment. The Czech will do well, but I reckon winning it is just a stretch too far. Heart says ENgland, but then my brain tells it to shut up, stop being stupid and plump for Italy, so that's what I will do.

If the goalkeeper gets hot he can alone decide the winner. I've always thought this to be true because in really tense games its always the goalkeeper who seems to shine the most. "Why are the Dutch not an option in the poll?" - voros I personally think the majority of the Dutch team is in a state of panic simply because they are not ready. The game against Ireland was nothing short of miserable given the standards the Dutch have about their soccer although the teams repoar with the fans has somewhat fanned over as of late: because they were not able to qualify for the World Cup in 2002. Like Portugal, the Netherlands lacks that "coherent union" between the players and the coach. No offense to the Dutch, but from a rationalistic perspective the Dutch will fare poorly. I can't believe there are 61 idiots here who all decided to vote for England. England is a joke compared to France, Spain and Italy. Not to mention the CR who's probably a tad better right now and Portugal, although the biggest group of under-achievers ever (great result today ) are still better than England.
Certain players on Holland's squad are A-holes, plain and simple, Misseurs Seedorf and Kluivert to be blatant. Advocaat's problem will be squad selection, he's got the biggest problem out of any other Euro managers. He has to decide who to start at each position...because he's got quality at each position, the fans want either Makaay or RVN but not both. He's got youth vs Experience to consider..which back four works the best, between Domestic (Bouma, Heitinga) or abroad (Stam, Reiziger)
