I mean, I haven't seen names yet. And I don't know that we know enough to guess at any. But how about a poll on the type of new head coach to be brought in?

I think they're gonna aim for Europe. David's had success importing coaches from across the Atlantic, and I think our ownership wants a cleaner break than to just pick up an average MLS manager.

I really don't have a name to guess though.

I would not object to Nancy.
I was wondering about Tata, if he was in remission and ready to manage again. Rumor is he's signing on with LAFC, though. So sounds like yes, but not an option for us.

I am not saying this is what I want at all, I'm just saying...

A smart part of me is really curious as to what Peter Vermes working under David Lee would have been like.

Except Peter Vermes has never worked under anyone. Will he even except a coaching job if he doesn’t have total control?

I mean, we can't know, can we, because he added the head coach to the general manager title (which I think is now the CSO title, but I may be wrong).
In his last several years, he really did not have the roster necessary for sustained success in the modern MLS.
But would he have stuck around for someone else to build the team?
Also, while he was a tactical innovator in mls pre-2015, he was falling behind and finally way behind in 2025, wasn't he?

He’s specifically said since he wouldn’t want to do both next time, he’d just want to coach.

So, will Vermes get another gig? five years ago, he would have had his choice of a number of them. right now? I have no idea

I think he gets one if he wants one. He's still a very good coach, was just here too long.

He's been linked with the New England position.
