Arace says Celtic want Nancy in before the week end. However the jokes on them. They don’t realize that Nancy will make himself sit out for the first 5 weeks while he gets acclimated to the system. lol

The Daily Record says that financial negotiations with Columbus are well along, with the Crew pushing for £ 2 million.

Also says that Nancy wants to bring Damet and Ampadou.

So Issa tells Chris Doran today that there has been no request by Celtic to The Crew to speak with Nancy, at the same time the club is negotiating for a buyout payment for him???? Somebody is lying or wrong w/ their facts on this situation.

Anyone else worried about Damet being the potential pick? He was crap with Cincy. I know Cincy was crap when he was there, no one was doing shit with that team, but... it doesn't fill me with confidence and seems like an incredibly lazy pick.

Another thing... if Issa is basically out, then who the hell is picking the coach?

I mean, is anyone denying the interest? Nancy sure is shit isn't denying it. I don't know what the hell Issa is doing, it's clear as day what's going on. Really strange. Is he delusional or is he being told to lie? Either way, not a good look.

Links earlier said Ampadu was in the package in hopes of luring his son, Ethan, to Celtic. He’d be a decent addition to the Crew if timelines were different.

If that's the route we go, I might say Damet myself.

Heard Dr Pete called Bez for advice. Seems the Edwards family have not been informed and are being given the same speech of Nancy’s under contract, planning next season with Issa bs.

If hes trying to get the deal all set up for 2 million for Nancy and ampadu and then present it to the haslams, I am not sure they are fans of "do it and ask for forgiveness later" mantra.

The next person up in the org is Marc Nichols or um Brian Bliss? If bliss is in charge of a coaching search, buy up all the ear plugs in columbus, because Peter Vermes will be yelling, a lot.

If the Crew get Jim Curtin, maybe Gazdag will be a better player…? Looking on the bright side

He would have to be near the top of the list if you go by familiarity with and past success in MLS. My concern is that a big part of his success in Philly was their academy, which *motions awkwardly in the direction of the smoldering remains of the Crew's youth pipeline*.

I like that the Edwards are talking to Bez. Hopefully Pete is able to get Jimmy on the phone in time to share notes.

Obviously the crew academy is not on the same level as the union’s, but they’re at least in the top half of the league. If they are going to do a full rebuild, I can see the kids get accelerated into the first team.

the stated ethos of Tall is play youth and young players and young talent, so I have no issues with the academy “catching up” this next year and have Tall hire a youth-centric coach. But I personally don’t think the academy is smoldering

Michael Arace at http://thedisrespected.com reports @ColumbusCrew coach Wilfried Nancy will leave to join @CelticFC #CelticFC "Nancy will be the next coach of Celtic FC, which has the power, prestige and money to whip this deal down the stretch." - Arace

    Arace is saying he's gone

So the ownership.has managed to turn an already difficult situation - a popular and successful head coach moving on - into a humiliating and insulting shitshow.

The minority owner(s) have been told nothing and has apparently been assuring people that what is clearly happening isnt really happening at all, making him look like an insignificant fool.

The General Manager is doing interviews assuring everyone that nothing is going on when reputable overseas media is reporting the opposite. The owners are letting him beclown himself by demonstrating to everyone, including the people who theoretically work for him, that he is completely out of the loop.

Nevermind being fired, anyone with a modicum of pride and self respect would resign. Today.

All this as the announcement is imminent, since the club has said they want the new manager in place before the AGM, which is Friday.

The Haslams have managed to turn a difficult situation into a disaster.

How would you like to be a season ticket agent this morning?
