First of all, I am proud of the players that stepped on the field today. Given the circumstances, they gave it their all and they hustled. We got robbed on the first goal and that affected us, but we can't blame the loss on that. Bad tactical choices were made and too many errors when it comes to player selection. I think it is evident that Aguirre is out (which is a good thing).

    But who is next?

Unfortunately, I think were are in for a tought couple of months coming up. Decio and Compean had an absolutely horrible four years, they failed drastically. But I feel that the way they will try to hold onto their jobs is by saying that they want to strive for continuity on this team, and the only way they can do this is by chosing Carrillo as the next coach. I think this would be the biggest mistake they can make since Carrillo is not good enough.

From the Televisa interview I gather that Aguirre wants to continue.

So I wouldn't count him out yet.

    Bob Bradley!

If he can get talent Mexico has to play with the hearth the USA players play with then he may be a good choice. I mean if you want a coach that is going to bunker down anyways (chepo), may as well be Bob.

I expect much neg rep for this comment. so F-u in advance!

so i'm guessing he has no offeres from Europe clubs huh?

i honestly would not be against Vasco, especially if he is given 4 years

he is a good coach, but it is his stubborness that is his worst enemy which in turn affects the team

if he can overcome that, then i am sure he will do a much better job

great motivator and sets up good formation and tactics, but it is the players he chooses which is a big concern

It will probably be someone who will only last until another 3-0 thrashing in San Pedro Sula. At that point "El Vasco" will take over again.

I think he deserves a shot to handle the process from start to finish. He's only been given the reins during times of crisis. It would be interesting to see what he could get done working with the team from start to finish.

No way. He will always make bad personnel and tactical decisions. It happened in 2002, at Atletico, and this cup. Aguirre out please! Bielsa in.

Bielsa woudn't last past one round in Mexico. Everytime a foreigner is brought in the press makes their life to miserable to be able to work. Mexico would be better off finding a Mexican coach or some foreigner who has been in the country for so long he might as well be Mexican.

I say idc who it is as long as they come read our forums and take advice from them, cuz I swear no matter who the coach is taking some 3rd party input would do some good.

here are my choices for coach.

    1. Javier Aguirre ( great coach, with a full 4 year term he'll do wonders.)
    2. Hugo Sanchez (did a good job, and was headed in the right direction)
    3. Chapo de la Torre (He made chivas champion, and made Toluca champion, what more do you want? the experience comes throughout the process.)

No foreign coaches please. I don't want conflicts of interests.

Thants what im talking about, okay its time remodel the theme for the next 4 years, i vote for our theme being "Logic", its cheaper to print because we can save on letters from last proceso themed "rete-contra-ultra-illogical"

learn what? Aguirre was coach for a fycking year and qualified us to the world cup. He managed to get Mexico playing well and head to heat to the top nations, even Argentina. Had it not been for that first goal, we could have a chance to win.

in four years, Aguirre can perfect the NT's style, and look at more players to get the right ones. I don't like some player selections, but over all, he is one of the best coaches we've had.

Hugo was also heading in the right direction, but the politics of the fmf got him out early.

We need a good coach for a full four year term. Aguirre is the right man, he is the better candidate of all the ones available. if you want to suck the balls of foreign coaches thats your problem ( in case you are one of the Bielsa supporters), but the truth is that the best thing Mexico can do is keep Aguirre for a full term.
