How will the Super League work?

The clubs say that 15 founding clubs - the 12 who have reached the agreement plus three who they expect to join - will be joined by five other teams who qualify each season.

They say the games will be played in midweek, starting in August, with teams playing home and away fixtures in two groups of ten, with the top three in each group automatically qualifying for the quarter-finals.

Teams finishing fourth and fifth will then compete in a two-legged play-off for the remaining quarter-final positions. A two-leg knockout format will be used to reach the final at the end of May, which will be staged as a single fixture at a neutral venue.

So far the 12 (out of 15 founding members) are

    Arsenal
    Chelsea
    Liverpool
    Man Utd
    Man City
    Tottenham

    Barcelona
    Real Madrid
    Atletico Madrid

    AC Milan
    Inter Milan
    Juventus

I'm guessing the other 3 founding members will be

    PSG,
    Bayern Munich
    Borussia Dortmund.

These will be the 15 permanent members.

Five other teams who qualify each season: I'm guessing

    top qualifer from Germany (3rd)
    top qualifer from France (2nd)
    top qualifer from Portugal
    top qualifier from Netherlands
    top qualifier from Russia

so these 5 qualify each season teams could be the like of Ajax or PSV
    Porto or Sporting etc...

    Lyon (qualifier)
    RB Leipzig (qualifier)
    Ajax (qualifier)

    Tottenham
    Real Madrid
    Inter Milan

Look like PSG, Bayer Munich, Dortmund might have to qualify among the 5 spots in the future since they declined as founding member.

So far the 12 (out of 15 founding members) are

    Arsenal
    Chelsea
    Liverpool
    Man Utd
    Man City
    Tottenham

    Barcelona
    Real Madrid
    Atletico Madrid

    AC Milan
    Inter Milan
    Juventus

Could Valencia be the 13th club? (They are in desperate need of cash....the owner is BEGGING to join)

with PSG, Munich, Dortmund say no....then

    Valencia (13th)
    Lyon (14th)
German club that is not Munich or Dortmund (15th)

for 5 qualifiers, it could be based on past year result from these

    1 from Germany
    1 from France
    1 from Netherlands
    1 from Portugal
    1 from Russia

    so

    England: 6
    Spain: 4
    Italy: 3
    Germany: 2
    France: 2
    Portugal: 1
    Netherlands: 1
    Russia: 1

    = 20
