Really hard to say, since all is possible. But I think that Italy and France are the favourites to go through. @ guyarthur Did you notice a certain St. Pauli thread in the Germany section?
I say Italy and France.. I have a feeling this group of death will be one step too far for Van Basten.
I say 1. Italy 2. Netherlands Mostly because we seem to do well in Groups of death and I think we'll step it up in the coming months
Italy and Romania. Seems Romania are very underrated. They went 9-2-1 this qual. and 8-1-3 in the last. But, Mutu was banned for some of those losses in the '06 quals. Not sure what their record is with him in the line-up, but I'm sure it is impressive.
It would come down to the coefficients from WC 2006 and Euro 2008 qualifying matches. Which means the final standings would be: 1. Holland 2. Italy 3. Romania 4. France
With Mutu on the score sheet, Romania only lost once. However, I don't quite see us qualifying out of this group.
It's always gonna be difficult for Romania. I really hope we can make it through, and for that to happen we need our players to play at their full potential.
this group is so close, to only HOPE to have a clue on who'll advance we'll have to wait June and be able to evaluate teams after injuries and on current form. So go on and make a fool of yourself
That's a fair point. I could explain why I think Holland & Romania will advance though, if anyone's interested.
I think it will be Italy and France if not them then it will be Italy and Holland. I think Romania will find it hard but it would be good if they could pull it off and go though but can't see it happening.
Same here, although I can't see us winning it I can see the Romanians doing a Greece but with a bit more entertainment
