Sorry Lanky but for me there's no better then my Mel C. As for the poll....I'm surprised no one wants to see Igor...I've always enjoyed his play in the midfield but wanted to see him do it on a night after night basis...maybe sit Danny for him.
He may well deserve a start at some point, but you have to know that Murphy has been outstanding this season. I mean absolutely outstanding. Dropping him now would a slap in the face. Igor has had a number of injuries, he needs a long consistent run in the reserves and measure his progress from there. I would like to see more of Cheyrou, particularly in a similar role to the match against Moscow. Diao may get more time in midfield (Not defense) but only due to injury or suspension.
No need to apologize for your bad vision... I don't see Eye-gore getting too many chances. He was bought to eventually take over Didi's role though he usually wound up on the right. If he had developed as GH had hoped, would we have bought Diao?. His tendency to get himself sent off can't helped his chances much. Dave
That'll never happen, except maybe in the League Cup. Murphy has been great and doesn't deserve to be benched for someone who hasn't played in over a year. Hamann, Gerrard...no way, he's gonna have to pray.
Biscan was responsible for two fouls in the box in consecutive reserve matches. Both resulted in penalties if I remember correctly. I really don't think Igor has a future at Anfield.
I would like to see Diomede get a run out. I don't know if he's quality or no, but I was impressed when I last him him - 2 seasons ago?
Screw up like that in the reserves, and you're toast. Did David Thompson get into the matchday squad again after the fight with Hopkin? Dave
I'd like to see Igor get his chances with the 1st team...I totally understand in why sitting Danny would be bad but at the same time we need to rest him on the bench for a few matches...I somehow see him getting injured at the pace he's been playing at. Danny boy has been brilliant but out of our core midfielders , I think his absense would be the least likely to hurt our chances. As for Igor's recent display of chippy football , I would chalk it up to fustration. Hopefully he'll get a look for a cup match or two.
I really can't understand your campaign for Igor here, man. All he did in the treble season that was worth talking about was recieve two red cards. Maybe three, if memory serves. He doesn't have a future here, in my opinion.
