If there's a DC United match at the same time as a US World Cup Qualifier, I'd watch DCU hands down. So I guess for me it's club

Country. I would watch the USMNT over the Red Bulls.

Club. That's what DVRs were invented for. Rare exception would be club playing an away match on the same night country was playing in my city, or close enough to drive. In other words, in person ALWAYS trumps TV and club trumps country in tv vs tv battles. Always time for a replay from the DVR.

Wait, this is a debate between watching your Nats game on TV versus going to your club game in person to support?

Club, duh. I don't think the Nats in Jacksonville really got any added support by somebody in Arizona watching on TV...

Both on TV ? Watching Country flipping to Club.

Both in person @ your home city ? Country.

One live in your city and one on tv ? The Live match.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Rather than going back and forth from the living room to the bedroom, I simply watch Country and flip to Club.

Of course, now with ATT-Uverse I can use the HD Sports Multiview and have Club in a little PIP box on the right of the screen.

Hey, me too. Hell, I'd watch TFC beat the Union again before I watched the Red Bulls. ;) :p

Depends on who's playing and what the competition. If the club is playing a league away game against a non-rival, then i'd probably skip it for the Nats. But if the Nats are just playing a firendly against a non-noteworthy country that i have not particular feelings toward, then i'll stick with the club. Home games for the club are always going to take precedent over the Nats, since i'll be at the game. The one exception where i'll always got Nats is World Cup.

It all depends of the stakes.

But all things even it's always gotta be club first.

Country. I've given up good club tickets to watch the national team (in person and on TV). I strongly support my club and stand by it through thick and thin, but the national team playing is like a national holiday to me. At least MLS has now minimized matches during international windows.

Mr. Warmth might get this one lol The suits, good ole boy network, and overall approach of coaches when it comes to the talent pool in the U.S. has turned me off to US Soccer hence my leanings to club > country. Come WCQ/Hex and World Cup time, yeah buddy I'm all in.

Club all the way. I can barely identify USMNT players anymore, nor have I ever been able to relate to the YA obsessives.
