Before last weekend, I would have said Nelson... however... circumstance... would have put the band on...

    yeah

    Stewart

    hard decision

Olsen wouldn't be a bad choice either... but I'd go with Stewart just because of experience/seniority

I vote Stewart... I don't think we can put anymore pressure on the guy.

    Give the armband to Olsen.

I am not opposed to Olsen however. Stewart just makes the most sense.

Ben Olsen's play in the last few games has been pitiful. I don't think Ray should give the captain's armband to a player he should be seriously considering benching. Olsen receives the ball, thinks, and thinks, and thinks, the defense recovers, and he passes back. Apparently that is all he learned in his 2 years on the sideline.

    Olsen - seniority
Convey - the "here are the keys line" is spot on
Stewart - old guy who's still young enough to actually start

But it's gonna be Hristo ... I just know it. And, yup, that means he starts ...

I say Red & Black!! Put him on the bench and Ray in the Barra, if only for one match. If that won't shake things up nothing will. ;)

    Ben Olsen

I'd have no problem with Stewart, Convey, Nelsen (not available this week but will be next week if Etch cannot return), or Olsen. But I think Olsen would be the best choice.

Good way to look at it:
Time to recognize the fine job our defense has done. To be able to obtain points when you can't score is quite a feat.

Bad way to look at it:
He deserves something for taking him from a first place team and putting him on a last place team. The way this team is playing we should have a Wanker as Captain.

It's gotta be Benny, and ought to be all the time -- with our without Marco.

Wow, I can't imagine that it would be Olsen. But it says alot that so many fans would choose him.

I'd like to see him wear the armband, but seems likely that it would be Stewart.

Petke would be interesting to say the least. I wouldn't mind seeing Olsen get the armband but for now I think Earnie's the best choice. Let's get this guy going! This may be a spark.

    Stewart is the man.

I also like the idea of Petke he has been playing great. If we were to rank it on merit it would have to be Rimando with the exception of one bad, (okay horrid) game he has kept us in contention it is just our offense that has let us down.

It wasn't a first place team when he left though...

I say give Earnie the armband.

Nellie if he wasn't suspended. Since he is, Stewart, with the armband passing to Petke if Earnie is subbed out.

Last year I would have said Ben because he was real inspirational when he rejoined the team. He hasn't seemed to provide that spark this year.

So I say Convey. Maybe that bright armband would make it easier for the other guys to see him so they could PASS HIM THE #$%^& BALL!
