I'd have to say we need a winger to provide cover and to allow Young to move up forward and create havoc. Possible Aiden McGeady or Ricardo Quaresma.

I think the RB position needs to be addressed again. Cuellar does not appear to the answer.Maybe Kieran Gibbs or even Lucas Neill as a short term fix if the Hammers are selling.

Do they take another run at Defour?

What about Luke Young when Bouma is back?

The defense is a bit of a concern, the players we have bought havent settled in that well and we seem to have a few old players in guys like Friedel (37), Bouma (30), Laursen (31) all of whom capable of holding down starting positions. However its hard to see any of these still playing in 2 years time.

As I see it, these are our weaknesses - lack of clinical finishing, depth on the wings, and quality passing from midfield.(if Barry or Petrov are out or subpar) I don't know about specifics, but I would like a goal poacher(Michael Owen on a free?) a younger fullback on each wing, a right winger(for depth since Young/Milner can both play on the left) and a creative/good passing midfielder.

Depending upon who's still here up top next year, I might like to see Vagner Love.
