    Crawley ENGLAND
I think that England should try giving some of the younger left footed players a chance to play on the left such as Stuart Downing- Middlesborough and Peter Whittingham- Villa. Wayne Bridge has been in great form for Chelsea at the beginning of this and all the way through last season closely rivaling Ashley Cole.Bridge has just come back from injury, but he those not look as sharp as he was before his injury and will hopefully return back to form. I think Bridge would be the best option down the left. Another option is to play Ashely Cole on the left of midfield and playing Bridge at full-back.

Downing might get a chance next time we play a friendly .But he might be one of these guys who Sven picks and dumps really quickly .I think the cole/bridge combo is good on the left .Even Joe Cole might be worth a go on the left .

Downing would get my vote just now. Give him a run and see what happens.

I would say Downing deserves a shot, although maybe Eriksson should wait a bit longer to see if he has any consistency. I would say maybe Shaun Wright-Phillips could serve on the left, as with his pace and shot it would be devastating for him to be cutting in on his right foot
