I have CM 03/04 and Once in a while I play it for like 2 weeks at a time and force my self to stop. I'm soo dam addicted. My biggest accomplishement was taking Vila Real from 2nd B and bringing them to the Superliga, finishing in 3rd and winning the without cheating or nayhting like that. Not even saving before a game and try again type of BS. Now I just rip other teams money so I can build a super team I've downloaded CM5 but it's in like german or slovakian. Anyone have CM5? I also played Football Manager but like CM better.
I play Football Manager. My current saga: Started with Beira-Mar in 03-04, won the league and lost out in the Portuguese Cup. Second year I win the treble and leave for Manchester United. First year with United I win everything but one of the league cups. I think I also played a full second season and am on my third, if not I am on my second season; I'll have a look see. ------K. Against weaker teams I play some youths -----------------Goncalo--------- (regen Portuguese keeper) Wes Brown-Gavrancic-John O' Shea-Morretto ------------------Ivan--------------------- ------------Moor-Peralta-Someone Else Can't Think Of The Name -------------Barbosa-Lucciani------------- I'm already thinking of leaving United if I win the Europe-Asia cup or whatever it is. I'm thinking of going to Spain or Italy; but I wouldn't mind venturing Brazil to try and win a Copa Libertadores. I also have the Malaysian league which would be a nice challange.
TCM series kills championship manager, sucks though had to order it from england, good postal service they have though.
TCM isn't better than FM only in terms of sponsor negotiation and control over the club; but when it comes to football it's FM.

I had one season with Belenenses,I made a good squad wih some nice players...actually I prefer the 01/02 version,older but soft and clean IMO. I want to start one and play with Oriente Oh yeah.I have two long games,one I played with Dortmund and won 13 titles in 3 years... And the other I played with Istanbulspor and my beloved Nacional.I won UEFA Cup,Turkish Cup and Turkish 1st Div. with Istanbulspor,then I moved to Sariyer(Turkish 2nd Div.).With Nacional,I won the Brasil C,B and A series in three years.
Yeah, 01/02 was like the classic best; it's the FIFA 99 of CM; except that every CM after 01/02 wasn't HORRIBLY BAD!
LOL,that's true. I played CM 4 - 03/04 and CM5(Playstation 2 - horrible to play).But I prefer the 01/02 version,without doubt.
Football Manager 2005 its very good, made from the same developers of the old CM series, the new CM 2005 its a new and crappy game...the real CM is Football Manager 2005, in November Football Manager 2006 will be released and will be even better. I´ve been playin CM series since 1995 its almost like a drug my main challenge nowadays its starting in English Conference South or North and trying to bring glory to a pub team without money and cheating... Lower league management its great surely more challenging than managing FC Porto, Chelsea or any other big club.
Lol, so true! CM 01/02 was great, it was fast and easy to play but obvioulsy a game like this is always developing and nowdays the data base is huge and the options almost unlimited, not to mention the 2D pitch wich is a great addition. About FIFA, in fact since the FIFA 1999 i never had any pleisure playing another FIFA version, normally FIFA´s last something like 1 or 2 months in my computer...
I used to play that game... but I was forgeting to eat and sleep, so I had to stop playing that. My favourite games were when I started a kind of stranger league, like wales or India, and started to play, only chosing the players by their caractheristics (I didn't knew any names, so...). I used to play superliga + 2ª Liga + 1ª Divisão ESpanhola, or Premiership. My best games were when I once started with RIVER PLATE, with a league with ARGENTINA, PORTUGAL and SPAIN 1st divisions! I conquered several titles with RIVER PLATE and FC POrto, but since I was hired from Porto (About 2012...), my career was down... Beira-Mar, a team that I presume was Mallorca, and teams from 2ª Liga until aout 2020... CM is cool, but I still prefer FIFA's and other games like that. They are more realistic than CM, since I cant win any game
