I know that this is a somewhat juvenile question but I think its still a good question... and I mean current player whom you like the most...

I love Giggs pace, and flair.

I appreciate Keane's hard work and grit

I long for Scholes's piercing runs

I dream of Ruud's great great goals

But damn Solskjaer is my favorite player... perhaps of all time... he is so modest, the perfect sportsman... he knows his place in the team, despite being one of the best finishers in the prem. he sat on the bench for a long time, despite finally winning his starting role he agreed to play out of possition he scores goals as a second striker while setting up a good few, which is really hard to do (Scholes does it as well) but his heart and the ability to come off the bench and score or poke one in when we need it most... well i just cant say enough... he has 116 goals for ManU in 317 appearances... for someone who starts at CF thats a great number, but for someone who probably made half of those appearances as a sub, and played second fiddle to other strikers and played right half as well??? My god... the baby faced assasain is my favorite player...

I wish I could say Howard, but I can't (although he is great) yet because hes not been on the team long enough :)

But I really for some reason like Silvestre. He's not the best defender, not even on the team. But I think the one of the first full games I watched of Man U (2 years or so ago) I saw Silvestre take a run down the wing, go through 2 people and have a good cross, it wasn't great, but it amazed me for some reason. And I modeled myself after him in my own playing after that ;). But that is why I like Silvestre. Plus hes a cool guy.

    thanks

Ryan Giggs, Ryan Giggs, running down the wing!

Just a great overall player, and I really enjoy watching him out there. Seems like there's nothing he can't do. For me, Giggs literally is Manchester United.

Paul Scholes. He's not very athletic, almost seems clumsy at times, but has extraordinary vision and manages to play very neatly.

Tim Howard is second. I'm a GK and am glad that Man Utd have signed an American - and there are some shots that he reaches, that leave one wondering how. Although, I will admit... Barthez was my 2nd favorite United player before Howard came. Loved the eccentricity and brilliance. Even the occasional huge mistake is oddly exciting.

Roy Keane. I cannot comprehend a day when he is no longer on the field for United. He is the player that every team needs to win.

    Ryan Giggs, we love you!

I love the way Ryan plays, and watching some of his pinpoint passes into the box, for Ruud to deposit into the goal. He plays a beautiful game.

In addition, I'm of Welsh heritage, so it's nice seeing a Welshman doing well for my favorite team.

Although I'm not a supporter in the true sense of the word, I really like Keane.
For all the obvious reasons I suppose....
Note that I also had the decency to avoid the whole 'keen on Keane' thing.......mostly

There's only one Keano! Timmy would be my 2nd favorite, and there really aren't any players on the team that i don't care for, although I've shouted "What the F@#& (insert one of the Nevilles)!" more times then i can count. :)

Fairly obviously my favourite of all time is Cantona, but at the moment it has to be Scholes who over the past couple of seasons has proved himself to be Uniteds most important player, but Roy Keane is a close second, his commitment and desire is second to none

For me it is a toss up between Solskjaer and Scholes.

I agree with mtkillamanjohno that Solskjaer seems to know his place in the team. He seems to put the team first before all else. And actually, he was one of the first guys I just loved watching when I first starting watching ManUtd. Look at some of Solskjaer's goals from the 96/97 season. Unbelievable runs and great finishing. The guy is pure class. 4 goals in less than 15 mins as a sub... one of a kind in my opinion. And of course, perfect reflexes to give United the Treble.

Scholes is also unique in so many ways. But I have to say what I like most about Scholes is he really scores some cracking goals. Man, he hits those balls that are bouncing just outside of the box and boy, it's a rocket. And, of course, the guy has single handedly saved United's butt in more than a handful of games.

Both of these guys are United through and through.

    1. Ryan Giggs- He's an amazing player. Nuff said.
    2. Tim Howard- I'm American, I think he's great.
    3. Ruud- Hey he's not diving, it's just the immense weight of his nose pulling him down. And he score too.
    4. Solskjaer because he's a team player and he's a pretty good player.

Who is your favorite Man U player

I love most of all the Man U players, thats for sure but I have to limit this to the top 3

Ryan Giggs is awesome, nuff said. His runs are fast and he makes it looks so damn easy too. Great passing and he can put it a shot in the net damn good too.

Ruud has a golden foot- where he gets it from no one quite knows but he definetly a big player of the red devil machine.

Gotta give it up for Howard he's from the home country and he represents greatly for us and has made some truely good saves. He's gonna get better- thats the best part of it.

I'd murder someone to have either John Oshea or Ferdinand on my team..not only are they my favorite's for United but also for Englands NT. O'Shea to me is simply a wonder child, great passer and excellent off the ball movement and I absolutley love it when he goes forward, a real menace on the sets too ! Ferdinand...fukin good player..thats all I have to say aout him. IMHO if United screw up either in their domestic title persuit or CL it'll be because of Ferdinands absence cause he is just so important too United to a point where its not funny.

Im ignoring Canzano's comment... its just best left unsaid...

Ronaldo was not that expensive buddy, 12 mill euro i think... even if its GBP thats still not that much cuz he is 19 and can play for more than 10 years... his impact has been great so far, look at the other 19 year olds in the league and on the team... who has done as much??? I'm not trying to say he is all that, just putting it in perspective...

Not really a ManU fan here - but as pretty much a newbie to watching anything outside of MLS, World Cup and an occasional Mexican league game, I find ManU to be on FSW frequently. And it IS fun to watch a great team.

So - I do enjoy watching:
    Giggs - incredibly tough professional
    van Nistelrooy - good god!
Howard - have to root for him - And he's good
    and
Forlan - have seen some very interesting goals from him

Ferguson seems like quite the professional also. I can see why it's easy to root for these guys.

Howard..the American. We can only produce keepers...it's the basketball mentality. But Giggs is sure fun to watch from a skills/speed/control the game standpoint.

i have to say giggs, he is the one of those 92' united FA cup youth players,he has been so loyal to the club all these years, still has great pace and is great to watch on the ball, always scoring big goals in big games, one of the best on the left wing ever

I assume you are only referring to Rio when mentioning the English NT.

"O'Shea" is not exactly English sounding is it?

Current team? Keano - the man is a true legend, especially since he removed the psychopathic element to his game...
