Who is worse? Roy or Lazo. They both suck horribly and I don't know how they've managed to escape the waivers during the season. Roy got waived by Kansas City. The strange thing is that we waived Conteh and picked up Roy. If Ray could've seen around the corner, I don't think he would have. Conteh is much better than Roy. And don't even get me started on Lazo. I don't want to attack these two guys as persons, just as soccer players. I just don't understand Lazo's appeal to Ray. I mean was he very good last year and just fell apart this year? At the beginning of the season he played alright. But then a little later on, it just all went downhill.

Well, I think everyone would agree that these are the two worst players in DC. But who sucks more?

At least Lazo's long range efforts force saves. You know, if he were playing as he was supposed to be, an end of the bench reserve, he wouldn't be nearly as bad in our eyes. The problem is, due to our rampant injuries throughout the team he is thrust into a major role on the team which he is nowhere ready for yet.

Lassiter is worse. Lazo has played some competent games this season and always answers the bell. Lassiter sometimes makes me wonder if he realizes he's actually in a game. Lazo sticks up for teammates and never sulks. His game may not have developed to the level of our liking, but he's not as bad as Lassiter, and likely Lazo will develop into a better player, but I doubt he'll ever be an average MLS player. MLS is improving as fast as Lazo is ... maybe faster.

It doesn't matter, Landon is sooo much better than both of them combined!

    He's so much cuter too!

I can't wait until this weekend when I get to see him!!

The question: Who is worse, Roy or Lazo?

    The answer: Ali

I'll have to disagree. Lassiter sucks so much more than Ali.

It would land perfectly balanced on it's narrow edge = they both suck equally.

I suspect this comes down to salary cap. With probably $1 million of the $1.7 million taken up with Etch,Jaime, Eddie and Ben that leaves 700K for the rest. It isn't a question of whether there are better players around -- of course there are. Its a question of who is the best for what you have to spend.

But Roy has served his country in the past.

I vote for Lazo. I mean, both currently suck but at least Roy used to be productive.

When Lazo is MVP of, and wins, a CONCACAF Champions Cup, an Interamerican Cup, an MLS Cup, 2 Supporters Shields, set a league record for goals in a season, gotten 30 caps with the senior team and scored in World Cup qualifeirs, including some on the road in Central America, then I might vote that he doesn't suck as bad as Roy currently does.

But, as futile as Roy has been this year, at least he has the argument of being past his prime. Lazo is supposedly in the prime of his career and he still blows.

When it's all said and done and both players are no longer playing pro soccer, Roy is going to have a much fuller trophy case than Lazo.

Really? He was on the Nats? Or were you thinking of the National Guard or something? Stamping license plates does *not* count.

they'll both be watching the playoffs from somewhere other than dc and plying their trade elsewhere next season, so who cares who is worse? they're both terrible (at least now, at least here in dc).
